I have ripped most of my vinyl to MP3, using software to polish off the worst of the scratches in the process. But I still have most of the actual vinyl in my lounge, where it gets played from time to time.

I've ripped all my CD's too.

All the MP3s sit on a RAID from where I can copy to my phone and are indexed using MediaMonkey so I can find them to play on a computer. I have a computer linked up to my hifi too so I can play them on there if I want; but if I'm using the hifi I usually go back to the original source.

My extensive record (well cd) collection got nicked about 20 years ago - if you think I'm putting obscure stuff up now... well, lets just say that the cds that were stolen were irreplaceable - they'd gone out of print and were never likely to get another production run.
Online streaming has helped a little...
Might have to go up to the attic a peruse the record collection again - those mid-90's thieves weren't interested in vinyl, well, not mine anyhow.

Forgot to say - Suzy - recently I figured out how to add the video link from youtube
Use 'Go advanced' reply and select 'insert video' from the drop down options - you'll then get a popup into which you need to put the video's address (url)

To get the url address of the video go to youtube or whatnot and right-click on the video - you'll get an option to copy the video url

Paste it into the popup box - then change https in the url to http - i.e. you need to delete the 's' in https

Same was true 'some other place' - its only taken me 2 months to remember

^^^^^ or you could use video tags, just copy the youtoob address & write ... now paste the URL & write also works for pictures if you use tags
