  • do you ever wonder if some higher being has it in for you?

I'm beginning to think i've been bad in a former life!

Not only are we having to deal with my dad's worsening dementia we now have a blind dog!

Took her to the vets last night and it's either glaucoma or the lenses have disattached, she is being referred to a specialist, thank god we have insurance for her as we're talking thousands! Poor little thing,it's not bothering her in any other way apart from not being able to see

This is just not our year.........

Oh and the car is in for it's MOT today.............fingers crossed.......

You poor thing... what will come next! My hubby is always of the opinion that someone up there is out to get him, yesterday in partular, with jobs and equipment letting him down, but nothing as momentous as your troubles. Time to get out in the garden I think. Chin up, it hopefully, can only get better.

on a lighter note, my runners that i've been modycodling in the GH are getting quite big so I think I might just risk putting them out and hopefully they'll be strong enough against the snails!

            possibly not!

Only problem is they're getting a bit on the tall side and if I want any beans this year i'm going to have to take a deep breath and go for it!

            (will surround them with pellets)

just had the vet on the phone, her blood tests have come back clear so there is no underlying problem, just waiting for a call from the specialists so hopefully be taking her tomorrow

Mrs W - chin up old gal (no offense) things really do seem to go on a swings and roundabouts system.

I'm so sorry that you are having so much trauma at the moment but once you hit bottom the only way is up.

Sorry to hear your woes. If it does not rain it pours. Like Lottie says it will get better, but at the moment you wonder when. It is good your dog has no blood problem and is not in pain. Unfortunately cannot say much about your car. Have a glass of wine tonight.

Thanks all for your kind words, I feel a bit better now, just waiting to hear from specialist as they've agreed in principle to deal direct with insurers so hopefully we'll get her in soon. Car's running brilliantly!

Hopefully that's my 3 this year and the next 3 'big' things that happen will all be good ones!
