I use the one of those but I operate it handraulically (sp? ) and I love it. Great for drying apple slices because it makes the slices even. Might have to try it with a drill attached, knowing me though, I'll end up with apple slices on the ceiling .

I looked on Amazon and there are loads of them though, I don't know which one to buy.
Check out Utube & all the reviews first GG.

Well most of them seem much and such I think. Some happy peeps, some not so happy peeps.
I ended up buying a 'Swift' one from an Amazon seller for 7.88. Only I had an Amazon credit from TCB to apply to my account so it ended up being free.
I'm so glad I made a start on clearing my clutter. I wouldn't have room for more otherwise.
Actually, I love vegetable crisps so I do think this might be something I will use.
BM, surely you could rig up an attachment for a lathe or something? Cored potatoes - crisps on a rope, new marketing idea here.
I saw these last year in Lakeland but didn't buy however as I now have 7 apple and 2 pear cordons it may become a necessity in future seasons.
When I'm making apple crisps I usually put the slices into a bowl of water with a squirt of that lemon juice you get in a plastic lemon which stops them going brown.

Ok BM, it's official. I love you for your gadgets.
My thingy came this morning and I'm really fed up because I only had one apple!
I love this thing. I have no idea how I'd not seen these before. It's smaller and lighter than I expected but good things come in small packages. I'm about to remove the corer bit and try potatoes.
I'm thinking it might need a tiny adjustment to not cut as deep but it does work well as is.
I hope you like yours when you get it BM.
Looky looky...(the apple came off in a spiral and I cut it into halves)
Edit: Just discovered I can't peel and slice only. If I want to slice, I also have to core. Not a huge issue but one I wasn't aware off initially. So, my potato was peeled, cored and 'sliced'. When I say sliced I mean it came off like the curly fries you get in the freezer section. Personally I quite liked that but it definitely wasn't the same kind of slices as the apple was. As for the core, I cut that into slices and had perfectly round mini discs the size of a penny which would be perfect for adding to a fry up breakkie.

I will be the weird person in the veg section of the supermarket now....the one who takes ages selecting potatoes and apples just because I want evenly shaped ones.
You can adjust the depth of the blade by loosening the wing nut and moving the blade to the desired position. Am so glad you're having fun with it..................
