I'm thinking because it reproduces by a growth/ runner that is still connected to the original plant and not a seed. It's all that Latin, Greek and Ms MouseTrousers post and thinking about how different plants reproduce or give life, and a strawberry is the only plant I can think of that has runners, and I was looking at some on the allotment today thinking I should exploit them before they die off.Originally posted by veggiechicken View PostComment

Aphids, guppies, elephants, adders, skinks all have this in common
So do most (not all mammals)

I've never seen a dolphin in the garden, or an elephant or a skink or an adder, although I have seen aphids, many times, so they're not the answer

Sure about the elephant? They have been known to paint their ears green and hide in the rhubarb.
So something in the garden you haven't seen before.
Did you see them in the act and that is what you never saw before or is it that you've never seen this thing before - either in the act or not?
