A Story about a Little Shop at the end of the garden!

Every day I put my basket over my arm and leave the house to do some shopping. No need for money or credit cards because I'm going to the Little Shop at the end of the garden.

The stock at this shop changes frequently and I never know what will be available until I get there. There's a lot of window shopping to do first and sampling of the goods on offer. Some will be put back on the shelf for another day, some will be marked down as damaged goods, others are top quality and make me smile.

I like going to the Little Shop at the end of the garden. Its a funny little Shop with no shop assistants to weigh my purchases or help with the packing. Sometimes, they have nothing to sell and I have to return home with an empty basket. At this time of year the shelves are laden with goods, sometimes its more than I want and I pass it on to others who aren't lucky enough to have a Little Shop in their garden.

From what I've read, we all have our own Little Shop. Some are bigger than others or have a wider choice of goods, some Shops are in the garden, others some distance away but we are all independent Shopkeepers.

DD is moving out to a place of her own but has requested that the little shop provide her with supplies especially their own pickled beetroot and a repeat order for sweetcorn, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes etc. has been placed for future years. It's a good job that the shops providers have an additional plot coming on line.

Apparently payment will be made in hugs!

It is also nice going to the shop as it doesn't matter what you look like and taking children is fine, as it is great for a change when they want everything off the shelves

I love my little shop. It provides for me and him, the neighbors, visitors and the occasional real customer . The little shop will be having a full time manager next year, so things will hopefully run even more smoothly.

Yes, I too love frequenting the Little Shop at the end of the garden .......and its sister container unit (GH) ......
Many a contented hour spent there, chatting animatedly to all present....... Sometimes words of encouragement, sometimes to berate, and sometimes to heap praise or a shoulder to cry on .....
I never get any negative verbal responses, silence truly is a most golden commodity.....

I love this Little Shop, where the only exchange of 'coinage' is in time and effort and tender dedication.

No sale or return - what you see is what you get .....

I too love my little shop though mines is a short trip by car 7 mins. Yesterday I got 2 large tomatoes and 1 good sized courgette - I took a pic but my phone(camera) and computer assistants are in a huff with one another and not talking so can't show it just now

My shop has a polybar attached and my favourite thing is meeting the regular customers who call in on an almost daily basis.

My little veg shop shop is still being refurbished. Hope to have it up and running properly by next year

My little shop is really only the equivalent of the few baskets of produce that are occasionally on offer in the (tiny) local corner shop.

However, I had an omelette this morning which included spring onions from the garden and yesterday's dinner had a few very small Charlotte potatoes from the tub.

I really don't understand why I can't win the lottery so I can buy a house with a big garden so I could expand my produce store. It's a done deal in my head.
