World's worst window cleaner!

Yes! I am probably the worst window cleaner. I have never mastered a method of achieving streak free windows and it drives me mad. This morning's attempt is abysmal. Please give me any hints, tips or products. I can live with streaky greenhouses but I would like my lounge windows to look good.

I bought one of these 'K@rcher' things. Worked really well until something got stuck in the blade and I now have scratches down my kitchen window! Never been able to get streak free Windows, they look fantastic until the sun shines!

My Gran swore by Window ....wotsit. It's the stuff that goes on like paint and then you have to flap around like a demented hummingbird to get the stuff off.

I, being genetically lazy pay the nice lady window cleaners £5 for the outside every 4 weeks and then another £5 every 3 months for them to tackle the inside.

Thats the way to do it lumpy,mine are an absolute disgrace,just wait till i get my home helper

Wash with warm soapy water, wash with warm vinegared water, dry with a towel & buff with a tea towel.

I am sure my gym teacher used to shout things like that to me BB while I was sitting on a bench reading a book.

She never understood the repetitive strain injury you could get from page flipping.

Use just warm water with a lintfree cloth, then dry very quickly with newspaper! Works very well, when I can be bothered :P

I've recently discovered microfibre cloths.

They are fantastic for windows!
For the outsides I wash over with soapy water then simply dry roughly with a microfibre cloth....no streaks.

For the insides (and for mirrors) I dust wipe over with a slightly dampened mf cloth...done.

I first bought the cloths in homebase but now I pick them up in the pound shop and they're just as good.

I use a microfibre cloth, rough side for cleaning, smooth side for buffing, and white vinegar. The bonus is that the vinegar will disperse any lingering household odours and make the rooms smell sweet, but no lasting vinegar smell either. Then a final buff with kitchen roll, or if I have it, newspaper.

I use one of those shower squidgy things just was down with hot water with a drop or two of washing up liquid in the just use the squidgy either vertically or horizontally. Finis edges of with a clean dry rag

I stand at the window and clean two eye holes just where I want to look out.

Dirty windows save money! You don't need curtains and the dirt acts like secondary glazing
