Was under the impression they don't taste of much? Not grown them myself, have probably mis-remembered...

The ones I grew for the first time this year were really 'garlicky'.. after reading that they're mild..these weren't and are being used in place of normal garlic!

I paid 9.99 for 10 cloves.. I thought that pricey but I'm keeping my own cloves for growing and have quite a few bulbils planted to so it should be the gift that keeps giving!

The first year I grew mine I just tasted a few and replanted most of them because they were expensive to buy.
I always plant in October, ive never tried a Spring planting. mine are also used to replace normal garlic in my cooking

My local deli sells them.I don't know the price but a friend of mine (professional gardener) says they are cheaper there than from the local GC.

Yep only bought once and have saved cloves ever since for replanting...I use them where you want less of a garlic taste...

Not seen any in shops for eating,a few years ago i got a pack of 3 from wilk///////,they were not that big and did nothing, then a lovely kind grape that very rarlely looks in sent me some,i have never looked back, and have passed some on to others,i also think they better than the usual garlic,as for the bulbils,i have tried may ways to grow them on with no luck, even the ones that obviously get left in the ground do not seem to respond, unlike spudzzz,i did read that in anycase it takes a few seasons before it' gets adult enough to split into cloves,

I replanted 19 bulbils when I harvested mine this year. So far 2 have sprouted. By next year they should be a mono-bulb, then by 2018 have split. I love them, so last year & this year being very restrained in eating them to build up my stocks.

Just to recap, and for any newbies visiting the site...

Get it from Wilc0s, shove it in the ground - and then eat it a few months later.
