Good on ya both for giving it a go. I'm sure it will work out, it always does. What timescale are you thinking of?

Good for you Sarriss...I was going to say do it - absolutely no hesitation!!
The fact you have family there too is a bonus.
Really chuffed for you both!

Sariss that is great news - I am so jealous, I would love to go to Sweden.
The best things are always the scariest and it sounds as if you know in your heart what you want to do. Change is only change temporarily... then it becomes normal again!
Good luck - it sounds like an amazing opportunity!
My daughter wants me to sell up asap and go now, but I feel she must finish her GCSE's first in June. Then she'll have a fighting chance if she ever decides to come back here.
In terms of houses... VC, here's loads! Bostäder till salu - Tingsryds kommun m.fl. I hope that works? It's my saved search area and I will end up within that area when we move
I'm putting feelers out for work too - got a list of companies to write to who currently are recruiting. Just hoping to build rapport with them before we move.
I've started to look for friends on Facebook from back then - memories are flooding back at an alarming rate!!
I totally agree with your thoughts on waiting until your daughter has completed her GCSEs next year.
I understand that decision may not go down well with a 15 year old teenager though.
I've got no idea about what opportunities/choices Sweden has in the way of further/higher education, training, apprenticeships, jobs etc. for 16 year olds.
Why don't you get her to research that, let her find out what's out there and what she needs to do to follow her chosen path.
It 'might' just give her a little added spur to do well in her exams next year.
Good luck to you both.
.......because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)
