I'm stuck here waiting for Thames Water to turn up and assess whether they can fit a meter. They've given me an anytime between 8.30am and 5pm timeslot. There are loads of things I need to do but I hate having to stay in even though I would have done anyway.

Morning all, dull and wet this morning...if you lot don't want your heatwave you can send it up here. I think we are in for a few days of rain. Thinking of picking what green toms I have as I don't think there is much chance of them turning red now. This season has been a disaster. Not much harvest this year at all although as someone said previously it has been a good year for fruit!
Well, off to do some domestics so will check in later. Have a great day everyone!
Strange start to the week here. Hubster has gone off to (new job) work* for the first time in 8 months following a 'rest' after 35 years RAF. I have tons of work on my desk but keep looking out at the garden and want to be out there. The downside of working from home?
*work as in paid for - not work as in building wardrobes, raised beds and digging out stumps
No chance of a heatwave here Rain is all we can look forward too...
Bit tired today as I went out for a few social drinks last night, so getting up for work was a struggle...State exam results due for eldest daughter on Wednesday, so something else to ponder
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
Good day yesterday - got new 2ft bed and path next to fence on my own plot and cleared adjacent 4ft bed which will move to the right encompassing old 2ft path and provide this year's overwintering onion bed.
Picked the first 5 of the sweetcorn this morning plus 1 or 2 other veg. No pics. of tomatoes - they were lovely and sweet so ate them after picking
Good evening Folks, not a nice day here as it has been very wet, some strong winds this morning but now died away, have been busy putting up my new shelving, still a bit of work to be done on them so will be going out to do a bit more now, might be back on later, so bye for now
Should have said the shelving is in the greenhouse, that's why I am still working on it
