    • Good evening, its been dry here but cold when in the wind, temp. in car showing 8c but wind chill drops it quite a bit, intended getting some work done in the garden, but son phoned asking for a hand papering a room, so helped him, he has never papered before, as he always prefered painting, so finished up hanging the paper after showing him how to paste, ( a bad parent for not teaching him how to do this) I showed his sister he would very likely have his nose in a book, when he was younger he was always reading. Anyway most of the room papered and now with sore legs, I wonder if someone will give them a massage? no just asked, she obviously she thinks a long walk will help me as I was told to "take a hike"
Well I will go out for a walk as I have to take my daughters dog back home, so enjoy your night and just relax, tomorrow pass on a smile to others Goodnight

        • Did go out to lunch with my friends this morning. Had a great morning catching up on all the local news. Just as we decided to go home our husbands called in. As it is the Christmas season drinks were handed out and we didnt get home until 17.30. Is this the longest lunch.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

              • Morning Grapes - a legitimate reason to go to the Allotment this morning. I have to play Where's Wally.

He happens to be the proud new owner of plot 4A and I'm letting him in and marking out the boundary of the plot with him as he has taken on half of a full plot that has yet to be divided. I've also made some new 2.4 x 1.2m blank weed membrane sheets to cover the sweetcorn beds now I have composted all the stalks that were left behind.

If I get time I shall also do a little greenhouse clearance.

Feeling more human today...always helps to have a full night's sleep doesn't it?

We have a bathroom door!...yippee!-OH spent most of yesterday afternoon knocking around some floorboards and fitting some lovely cottage hinges and latch. So to celebrate I had a 2hr soak( luverly!) and finished my book for Book Club.

Flo...contact The Stroke Assiciation for guidance, each time MIL has a stroke they handed out a booklet with loads of leaflets and follow her up when she 's at home. They should be able to advise you not just about the chair, but other things to make life a bit easier....

I've just checked, and it's -6C outside...I think OH might regret leaving the bottles of beer outside (to keep them cool) overnight

                  Anyone fancy a cuppa?.....

                      • Glad to hear you have recovered Nicos, wonder if Jay has got rid of her cold also, I think I will have to get up earlier so that I can share a wee cuppa with Flo, and no milk Flo could spoil the taste

                          • Good morning all. No frost here but a very dull and mild 9deg. Nothing planned for today so I will probably go out walking after a quick tidy up. Have a good day all.
