Morning all - a bit wild and windy overnight - must nip up to the allotment to check the polybar is still stood standing - the thought of all that beer having no protection from the elements fills me with dread

Worrying times indeed Shen....! Hope nothing is amiss.............
Off to pick up MIL & FIL soon to treat them to lunch .....so no time (again.....) for garden related stuff....
I need to sort GH out - tomato plants are almost finished now and need turfing out ....
Ditto runner beans- to leave on and use them as 'dried' beans or rip them up and clear the ground .... dunno yet ..........!
Have a lovely Saturday all..!

I think I will nip down and help Shen with the drink sorry shelter

Good morning all. Wild and windy with driving rain here. I knew it must have been stormy as the planes were flying over our house all night as they do when the weather is bad.
Well, it looks like an indoor day for me so I can catch up with all the jobs I have been putting off.
For all you lucky peeps who have good weather, enjoy your day.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Lovely day here, sun is really quite hot, so Scarlet, you should have a fine day being a tourist in London
My sister used to dress bay city rollers style, it was when I met hubby circa 1976
Coming 3rd in the quiz was very good, we were a group of four and beaten by teams of 10 and 16
We actually do better the less of us there, four is just right, but there is generally 7 of us
Off to work this afternoon, enjoy the day, flip flops or wellies
Morning All from sunshiny SW - though looks like rain is on its way!
I thought Bay City Rollers were those spiky things you put in your hair to make it big and bouncy. Just had a flashback to my Nana putting pipe cleaners in her hair and a hairnet to keep her curls in place! In winter, or if she was expecting visitors she'd wear a hat indoors - always turquoise blue to match her eyes
Anyway, I digress, today looks like some more GH clearing if wet and weeding if dry. Life's full of choices
Have a great day, what ever you choose to do
Morning all, as rary says I'm not saying good! It has been really stormy here during the night and it's still chucking it down. Everything seems ok now with the vine, it was taking ages for what I typed to appear in the box so gave up.
OH working so I'm at a loose end this Saturday, going to have a lazy day I think.
Scarlet, enjoy London, I love it and jump at any chance to go. Hope the polybar is ok Shen!
Hope you all have a lovely day...especially you lot with the sunshine.
Still raining heavily here, and strong wind, so not going near greenhouse, took my wife out and finished up in a GC, went for a coffee, I felt like buying the coffee, but by the time we got to a table the feeling had past, at a loose end just now, will need to find a book to read
been a lovely few days off, getting to grips with what I want to "Propogate" n gather seed n stuff for next year!
Not been the best of years all things considered, work commitments etc, did loads of research as to how you could make growing stuff a lot less "Time Consuming"
Here! If you have an hour or so to spare! Watch this! Makes total sense, a little "God Squad" But a beliver in the "Lord" Myself being a "Catholic" but not to this extent! I totally get it!

Evening all Been very windy today and a bit cold but it was probably good weather for working up a sweat in the garden. Dug up some squash and tomato plants that were over now and planted out all the kale and chard.
Made 3 loads of bolognaise sauce. Maybe the last from my tomatoes as not got that many left now to pick.
Still got the spring bulbs to plant out but will have to wait. Veg comes first.
Well done on coming 3rd NannySally. That was good for your friend too.
Looking forward to a quiet evening as am tired. Hope you all have a good one
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
