  • Well, I am typing this with my specs on my head.
I cannot get on with varifocals, so I have reading glasses and everything else glasses.
Hardly ever bother with the readers, so spend half my time with them on and off.
It's been a lovely day today weather wise
Our daughter and the GG have been over to dinner today, spent a lovely hour with them and then decided that the GG ought to go to A & E as she had hurt her finger the day before and it was swollen.
We got there at 7.00 PM and she had an X-ray at 7.09 pm. 2 3/4 hours later they gave us the results, broken finger.
Why do they make a child with a broken bone wait all that time?
It's many years since I have visited the hospital and I was shocked at how many people were there. Stretched to the limit.
Anyway, I'm tired and off to bed very shortly.
    Night

    • Night Sal, don't forget to take ya specs off ya head first otherwise when you wake up you'll think you've lost 'em............................Varifocals are fine Kev, I've worn them for a few years, I just move my head slightly up or down depending on what I'm looking at. The only time I wear near vision specs is for the puter.

        Steady with the wise Kevin.
And BM if Sally takes her glasses off how will she see to sleep

On a more serious note, in future Kevin look around for a manufacturer of reading glasses there is one about thirty miles from where I stay and it saves more than a third of the cost getting them to make my glasses
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

              • Morning all. Miserable weather here, pouring with rain & set in for the day. Not a happy humph. Baah humbug.
                Another happy Nutter...

                • Hope it doesn't rain here this morning - we have a man with a lawnmower coming. Feels slightly chillier and it is very grey. Oh dear.
The magpies have made a huge circle of what looks like straw in the middle of the grass. I wonder if it's because they're searching for insects so digging, Himself thinks it's something sinister as they've only started doing it since we found the dead one nearby

                  • Morning.

I've just watched a youtube doc about Christian the lion who was bought in Harrods in the 60's. (I was up early today.) Brought a tear to my eye. I love animals. I would happily live in an old lady compound somewhere with just animals and the odd cucumber plant.

Anyway, hope you all have a good day today, I've been busy decluttering all weekend again and today will be more of the same so I best get off my backside and get moving now.

                      • Morning all, dull and grey outside, I have washing to do, so a bit of sun wouldn't go amiss please
Work this afternoons, and I might make a cake to take in with me.
Garden clearance is starting this week, our veg have given us great crops, but time to take it all to the dalek
                        Have a lovely day everyone

                        • Is it Monday already! How does it come around so quickly when Friday takes 3 months to get here!

Dull, grey and wet here AND I have stuff to dig up and clear away - oh yes, and the darn work-desk to sit at.

Have I missed any excitement or crisis (hope there hasn't been any of those) over the weekend?
I've spent the weekend coming up with hair brain schemes for bits of my garden.
Going to play in the garden today as it's not raining ( at the moment) and the wind has calmed down considerably. Hope to get lots done.
                            Have a good day everyone

Anyhoo, have a lovely day everyone and see you later.
