  • Morning all. Heavy rain and grey skies. Not very uplifting. Bathroom makeover continuing today. All the tiling finished. The electrician is currently working on the new lighting system and then we should be seeing the bathroom furniture going in. Its been a long week.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

      • Morning dull and wet here too...how come sunshiny SW has the sun when everyone else has rain?! Had a better sleep last night although read for about half an hour during the night which sent me off to the land of nod again. Only problem was I'm reading and Ian Rankin at the moment so I was dreaming I was a detective!!
Hope you all have a lovely day rain or shine!

          • Just made carrot and coriander soup and put a chicken stuffed with elephant garlic in the oven. Some of the washing is drying on the radiators so the different aromas are making the house smell lovely Hope things improve again soon Lottie x

              Happy Day's!
Thanks Deano, I'll update my phone first as I'm on iOS 9 and that gives the small pics, I'll test first just to be sure before I update my iPad - love posting photos and I hate those little pics!

              • Lovely here too - perfect rugby weather! The boys have a match in a bit, training first. Home match so I've got a few minutes before I leave. I think I may be in trouble when I get there it's been a busy morning, chopping up my chillies ready to make Jam and the boys needed their injuries strapping before they left for rugby shoulder strapped and a huge grass burn covered over on the one, the other had his thumb strapped and his toe (someone studded him) sat down when they left and accidentally touched my face!!! I hope their aren't burning too much during the match

                Lottie, chin up x

                      • ......oh and it's a gorgeous October day ~ not cold, milky-blue sky and lovely sunshine ..... trouble is, I'm absolutely cream crackered, and don't feel like doing ANYTHING now I've got home from work......
                        Cuppa tea anyone.....?

I've to take DH to meet up with 'the lads' later for my elder brother's stag 'do'. It won't be a wild one - he's absolutely ruled out strippers of any variety .........
Curry and a beer (or two...) Guess another late night for me, as I'm being chauffeur .......
Looking forward to picking up some fish 'n chips from the chippy on way back from dropping him off, for me and young 'un ....

Hope everyone's day is going well. Oh and hope rary is back soon ~ I'm really missing his narrative and his unique wry sense of humour.....

The sun came out here as well Flo at about the same time, it made a nice change from the mist that appeared around 9ish. Still sunny now so i've had a wonder around my garden inspecting things and eating raspberries

                            • Well Hurrah, my bathroom is finished. It was well worth the upheavel of the last week or two. BUT, I wouldnt want to do it again any time soon. The guys did a great job and I will give them a grade reference if anybody feels the need of a makeover.
