Our local( ha!...20 mins by car away) supermarket has one of those change machines in it...the type where you tip in all your change and it gives you a voucher to spend in the shop.
OH decided to get rid of all all the loose change we've collected over the last year ... not expecting a voucher...with a use by date of this Friday!
Seeing as he works nearby and I've no other reason to waste petrol getting there and back, I handed him the shopping list!
Nearly €40 worth of voucher!
Ha! ...sorted!

Oh!...forgot to mention!
We have a newspaper reporter coming over this afternoon to advertise the seed and plant swap I'm organising.
Less than 3 weeks now!, ..panic, panic!
The lounge is full of little packages , boxes, lists, plant pots , and some lovely plants donated by the local farm supplies shop( they just need a bit of TLC and warmth)
The funny thing is that the expats come along, not just baring seeds and plants but scones, cakes, homemade biccies, picnic chairs, and just make an afternoon of it...come rain or sun!
Brill event and seems to be slowly, slowly getting more popular with the French too.
Passing on unwanted gardening items isn't so difficult is it?

Good morning Folks, quite dark this morning hope it stays dry, don't know what I will do today but will try and keep away from Susie as she will probably be like a bear with a sore head, she shouldn't be drinking at her age, out drinking because she doesn't have school today, that's the sort of thing I did when I was young....er, well have a good day just popped out for the milk and its a clear starry sky just now so hope it stays clear
Mornin'............yup way, way too old to be drinkin on a school night.......old enough and daft enough to know flippin better really....... So off out with Toby who's waiting impatiently now ... (just need a couple of paracetamol and plenty of water and a big bacon sandwich then I'll be feeling right as rain again...)

Morning all
There seems to be a slight improvement in the weather, didn't feel as cold when I let chickens and turkeys out this morning and it's dry at the moment. Not got time to stand around chatting want to make the most of this dry weather.
Have a good day everyone.

So, let me get this right Nicos....You give someone at the local farm shop some "TLC and warmth" (as you put it) and they give you free plants
I love the barter system
Hope the girl at my local GC is okay with this approach too
Oh, good morning!!
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
Morni g all. A nice clear morni g here but a bit on the cold side. Off out now for a round of pitch and putt and will probably go walking later. Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Morning all, it beautiful this morning but a bit chilly! Hoping for another day or so like this to get one last cut of the grass. Not sure what's on the cards today other than supermarket shopping Hope you all have a lovely day.
