    ...or circumzenithal arcs to give them their more proper but less romantic name.

    This was above Hampton Court Palace this afternoon. Amazingly beautiful - I've never seen one before.

      It really was incredible. I stood there gawping with a Chinese photographer for about 20 minutes. Neither of us had a clue what it was - had to search on the MetOffice.

                  I wish I had seen it, I did see a full rainbow with reflection last Sunday see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxA8Xf1Udws the video just does not do it justice
