One Of Those Nagging Thoughts!

It's not important but do you get those nagging thoughts that do your head in until you find the answer........well, I'm having one of those moments so I need your help. I've just ordered some seeds from Ukraine & it got me thinking, I'm sure there is a vine member from there but can't for the life of me think who it is...........please help me sleep tonight..........................or am I just losing it?

Have you tried searching for members in the Ukraine?

Yes I'm in Slovakia, which does share part of its eastern border with Ukraine, so that's probably as close as you'll get. (Though not very close since I'm near the western border.) And there's ovce domaci in the Czech Republic, not far from Prague. And Starloc who was already mentioned. Can't think of any other grapes this far east.

But do tell us what seeds you got from there and how you ordered them. Presumably online, but I'm guessing you didn't have to read any Ukrainian. It probably sounds quite similar to Slovak but is written in Cyrillic letters like Russian.

BM the only mention I've found apart from Purple Ukraine toms is a member called Pineberry who parents lived there.

Previously I've grown Kibits bush tomatoes from seed in a swap and saved the seeds. They are meant to be only about 20ins tall - but over the years they have gradually morphed into a taller tomato than they were originally, and didn't fit into the big cloche any more.

So I took a chance and ordered some seeds on fleabay from Moscow! They were ЧИБИС in a proper sealed seed packet. *Happy dance*

Thanks guys, I've tried every which way but loose but can't find them. For some strange reason I can see the word UKRAINE in capital letters on their location.................Maybe I dreamt it...........
