I've got some bricklaying to do on the plot for my greenhouse surround today. Trouble is, every time i bend over my nose bleeds! I'm not yet used to the cold weather methinks!

A scarf would keep your nose warm & stop it from drying out or a tiny bit of Vaseline inside the nostrils to keep it moist. Skins so thin in the nose it can easily crack like lips do.

Yes it's cold in SE Scotland today as well, I even find myself wearing a bunnet indoors,( as seen in avatar ) the cold weather makes it a depressing time of year.

All my tomato plants are down and I have one chilli plant left and waiting on four chillis to ripen, roll on the Spring.

Going to shop around and see if I can buy a heated propagater, that might cheer me up a bit.

I am seriously thinking about reorganising some parts of our tiny, iddy, biddy garden - more flow as it where.

The OH will keep warm by doing it!

Frost here too so it must have been pretty general.

Yesterday we had the first rain of the season. I have shut off the irrigation system for the moment, hoping that we'll get more rain. At least it has cleared the dust from the air and the leaves of the citrus trees are now clean and free of dust. On Monday I found two china kitchen sinks someone had thrown out and they are now on top of my wide garden wall. I've filled one of them with potting mix and I plan to plant them with gerberas as soon as the seedlings are big enough to transplant.
