I just wanted to thank those of you who applied to be an expert in Grow Your Own magazine. I'm pleased to announce that andrewo will be the new expert - you'll see his advice in the September issue, out next week! As I've said before, we'll be rotating the Grapevine experts every few months or so, to give more of you a go, so watch this space!

Us oldies are still at the roots of the vine, we are like the roses planted beside the vine to warn of an impending virus - we're also the first to drop! Yes, all is well with me and the missus - first anniversary coming up! God, what will I buy her? Off to Las Vegas again for a holiday soon, the heat agrees with me. Still looking for land near me, but it's at a premium and hardly ever comes up, of course, being one of the experts might make me rich over night....yeah, believe that one when it happens
