In the wrong place

we have just had a break in the sun in the med and the weather has been warm, warm ,and warm, it was lovely to feel the sun on our backs after a miserable summer, and the thought of coming back to this minus temp days made us feel that we are in the wrong place, I want summer to be about sunny weather not a few days in july before winter comes back...... I want to go on my hols again and we have only just got back..

As someone who lived on the med for years, I'd ask yourself whether you'd enjoy the extreme heat of the midsummer months?
I found winter ok which average about 10C with frost rare, absolutely loved spring and autumn (skinny dipping in November is par for the course, once the tourists have gone home) but July and August 35-40C (when the heat keeps you indoors as much as our cold can in winter) were 'orrible.

I lived out there for several years and loved getting up at 4am to have s swim before work, I loved the heat and still do. I would live out there tomorrow given the chance, now we are the lepers of Europe that may not be so easy in the future...
