I hate to say it - as nice as the sun is it is actually 'too hot' for me. Then there is closing the house up at night so it is sticky, stuffy but bug free

Having to work until 5pm when its beautiful outside, your tomatoes desperatly need planting and you're busy all weekend. Rubbish

Apparently BT have been monitoring and have seen that I have been receiving viruses and want me to turn on my computer - What a Numpty, first time I told them I was not that gullible, second time I told them I didn't have a computer, this time I have told them that I'm not with BT but with TalkTalk, which I'm not, and if they phone back saying they are from TalkTalk I shall tell them I'm with BT.

I have also done my best Indian Accent when talking to them. I have also answered the phone as Murphy from Murphy's Knackers Yard as they tend to phone around the same time of the day. One I have not used in a while is Mabel's House of ill repute chief pimp speaking.

I'm now wondering how I can string them along and how long I can keep them talking to drive up their telephone bill until they get the hump and go.

More calls from India reporting to be from BT and surprise surprise TalkTalk since I told one I was not with BT last week but with Talk Talk (which I'm not), Also had a English speaking gent trying to offer me a renewal of my caller display and BT contract who I told thanks but no thanks, I will phone BT and talk to them.

I did he was bogus and his number has been taken. BT offer a FREE service use 1572 and set it up to Bar any numbers and Withheld number, it goes to a BT answerphone system so they the scammers don't move you to another telephone number to be called from. Just tell any callers who use withheld or Ex directory numbers to type 1470 before they ring you so their number is not withheld.

I never answer withheld numbers. In fact we have the call guardian phones from Beattie, what a godsend they are. We get absolutely no cold callers at all!

I purposely let my girls answer the phone. Anyone that genuinely wants me will happily talk to them. It's great

My Gas/Electricity deal ends tomorrow. Not only do they want a 30% increase but there are SEVEN options to choose from. Three x One Year Deals, three x two year deals and the standard deal. Each one has different standing charges and per KWH rates for gas & electricity so that one is better for light users, one is better for heavy users and one is "in the middle". Like everyone, my usage changes from winter to summer and based upon my readings for last year there are some months where one tariff is cheaper and others where another is cheaper. I'll select based upon the average over the year but why do they want to make it so complicated (except to rip us off).

Why can't the government just tell the suppliers that they have to charge us whatever is the cheapest tariff for the time that we've given the readings. That way we can choose between suppliers regardless of the complication of the sums.
