In the shop today woman in front with a bottle of bud, a fist full of lottery tickets and a baby in a pram. Just before the till she remembers something, leaves the pram runs off and comes back with nappies.

Well, after nearly a life long love of the program the BBC have gone to far as in my own opion some characters need to be what they have always been.
Really miffed Idris Alba was not chosen but I suppose he is too busy in Hollywood.

It's just not right Dr Who is a male - Well that's the end of the franchise

Looked out over the beautiful view of the field next door which has been cut with the sun setting. Then saw at least 5 rabbits bouncing around next to my veg plot.......Another happy Nutter...

Either we have little darlings that are getting over the fence and committing random acts of vandalism or another plot holder wanted some rope and decided to cut the new one on my comfrey pipe and took it complete with the plant pot saucer end cap.
It has been suggested that kids brought onto the site and not controlled by their parents could be responsible as kids have been seen wondering around plots, if it was they had a Stanley knife on them!
I'm not amused, and have asked if any other plot holder has had any problems, and it appears they have, bean strings have been cut.Last edited by Cadalot; 17-07-2017, 06:47 AM.Comment

Sometimes the BBC talk absolute hogs do dahs.
They wanted a female Doctor Who to give the show more 'umph'
They can be daft bats sometimes as it is the writers of shows who draw an audience based on storylines.

I have been watching Dr Who since it started but find that the show has deteriorated, not with bad actors but bad scripts, and now that they are changing sex, will not be watching.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers

That in the modern world we live in, with a female prime minister, and almost a female president, people can't even give a female Dr Who a try?

I'm afraid the world we now live in is not a very nice place anymore, faceless people on the internet are now keyboard warriors who think they are untraceable, so behave in a manner they probably wouldn't dare to do, face to face. I fear my grandchildren are inheriting a sorry place, certainly not any better than when I was born. We might have more technology, but I'm not sure it's a better way to live.Comment

My rant - the way the TV justifies changes even when they are not realistic.
I really do agree with you Vix. TV progs should have role models for both sexes and all colours so that kids can see that the world is their oyster.
Law, medicine, science, business etc are all covered in this respect but for the BBC to claim that a Time Lady is necessary as a gender role model. If it were possible to be a Time Lady/Lord then I would totally agree to the change. The only possible role models to follow for this program would be physics, quantum mechanic or astronomy.
Give all of the kids role models that can make them want to achieve in the future.

Today the BBC announce who in their books*are earning over £150,000 pa and already they are complaining about less that 1/3rd are women. The actor who plays the Doctor has to be one of them and thus casting Dr Who as a woman is just positive discrimination.
How can discrimination be Positive all forms of discrimination are Negative!Comment
