            • Morning Flo, Cad and all

Looks promising the weather on a quick glance. Yesterday we had a few nice hours of part sun before it went cloudy again. Very dry, think I need to water today.

Off to garden centre then a school assembly then need to buy some food so busy day.

Have a good one, hope the chicks are ok Nicos.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Don't know what I'm doing today yet. I have to sow some seeds still, probably do that.

                        • Morning all, another warm day coming up,well done that chicken Nicos.
I had a shock earlier on,let the girls out into the free range bit, istood as usual for a bit looking and chaatting, the warren up and flew a bit,i thinks mmm, watch this one, came in,looked out and ther she is on the outside,at first you panick, then calm, got the corn out,and got her,she to squatted, put em all bar 1 into the secure area, black rock was still out, next thing she flew up and over aprox 5 foot debri netting, and i then had to get her,so for now they are confined to barracs, whilst this was going on,MR was banging on the window,i learned that a big bird was flying over,we think it must have been a large heron from the water park,MR said it was 2 colors, having gooled, and showed him pics,i wonder if it was a blue heron, distinctive markings.
                          Have a good day all,
On googling i came accross a good site, just type in,safari uk,not just wildlfe.

                          • We have sparrowhawks and buzzards regularly flying around here....they don't half spook the gals.

                            • Good morning all from a sunny but chilly Dublin. Dont think there will be much time for gardening today. Grandaughter is making spaghetti bolagnase in school so I have to collect her in case she spills it on the way home.
Grandson is finishing early as children are being confirmed in his school so he needs to be collected as well.T
The painter is still in themiddle of all this painting away with both the hall door and the back door open to get rid of the smell of paint.
I need to go grocery shopping and to the post office this morning so shaping up to be a busy day.

Nicos, great to hear about the arrival of your baby chicks. My granny used to rear her oen chicks as well so it brings back happy memories.
Hope you all have a good day.

                              • Morning everyone, it's been a really busy week, so not been around but am off today. Had a blood test at 8.20 this morning and Mrs JJ has a hospital appointment at 11.45 so limited to what we can achieve. I've managed to weed the cherry bed in the back garden but the ground is really dry and hard. I'm going to give it a soak in a mo and try and carry on later. We have family over tomorrow for daughters 16th so trying to get the garden ship shape. Whilst weeding I noticed that a few of my spring planted daffs are just pushing through

                                Have a great day..
