Hope all is well Nicos!
Morning all, no rain here just wall to wall sunshine. It's funny we start off with no wind and by the end of the day is almost a full scale gale, it's lovely and warm though. Staying home all day today as the roads around us will be busy busy busy. Hopefully we will get a chance to relax in the garden. Garage called about my car it was the drive belt and also something to do with the air conditioning unit. Being serviced and MOT'd so should get it back next week. The road tax is due along with the insurance at the end of the month so expensive time but much cheaper than a new car and the mechanic says it's in great condition (now!!) so I'm happy!
Off to have a mooch around so see you all later. Have a great day!sigpic

Morning all, for me it's another day of prep work and decorating after a trip to the dump to get rid of the laminate flooring and carpet and grip rods that I've removed from the stairs in readiness for the carpet fitters to arrive and do their thing. saved me around £60 doing this and I needed to remove it in order to paint the skirtings' and stringers to the stairs anyway.
Have a great day whatever you end up doing.

Morning all, I've been up since 05.30, and didn't want to wake any of you up.
Had two cups of tea, now I feel like going back to bed!
Mad, isn't it.
Re potting of crops day today, then the growhouse really will be full
Might be a hint of a BBQ later at daughters partners.
Yesterday was such a good day. MoM for me, and, at last, the BP daughter has secured a part time job with Tesco. Just at the top of the hill for her. Now all she has to do is keep it.

Marnin'.
Super news about your daughter NS. And congrats on your mom-ness!
Lying in bed with tea and biscuits having evicted boys from the bed (the youngest always comes in at 6am) with an offer of the tablet. Two parties for the eldest this weekend, and a bunch of admin for one of the 2 committees I'm on.
On the plot I need to water, raise the fleece over the tatties, fix the wobbly brassica tunnel which got hammered by the strong winds we've had, and possibly put up the posts for my strawberry rack...
It was 8C overnight in the growhouse. What Temps do toms and courgettes need again?
Have a good 'un.

Morning all. Much greyer and cooler here today - but off to Shrewsbury to meet my sister for shopping, lunch and sisterliness My younger son is bi-polar too, NannySally and you're right, it is a blight. It has taken ages to get his meds right, but I feel like we have finally turned the corner.
Rambling tomorrow morning, plotting tomorrow afternoon and quizzing tomorrow evening. If only beer, eating and a castle were also involved it would be a perfect day!

Good morning all. Dull and cold here and still an easterly breeze which is very chilly as we are on the coast.
Off to play a pitch and putt competition today. Two rounds as its the presidents day.
A bit of gardening and watering when I get back home this evening.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Afternoon all
Great news about your daughter getting a job NannySally.
Very grey and cold but no matter as just got back from taking daughter to her free extra science lessons. So been sat in the warm with a cappuccino and reading a book on vegetable gardening for a few hours. I'm liking the sound of no-dig gardening the more I read about it
Having a cuppa then will work out what I should be doing - hoovering, washing up or dusting. Hmm lovely pick! Must be great to have a cleaner and never do any of those boring chores again.
Have a good day everyone.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
