    • Artnoon from sunshiny but hoping for rain SW.
      Pink or grey?
Takes me back to my working days I worked with some one who always greeted me with the question "What colour are they?" and I'd usually answer "Pink" and he'd say that that was his favourite colour and then wander off smiling
Bet you thought working in the Civil Service was dull
Right, I must go back to my hole digging, these are real holes, not virtual ones. Reine Claude is up to her graft in muck now, and I'm aiming to get Percy-mon and the supposed to be dwarf apple in before it rains................please!
Enjoy your day - try to behave!

      • A nice warm day today, have been busy preparing the tea for tonight, and now out to the garden for a short time before collecting the boy's and taking one for swimming lessons, enjoy the day and take it easy will Ned to go and see if I can find any weeds, I see VC has them so they must be easy to grow
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

        • Afternoon all! I'm working from home today and tomorrow so feeling much more relaxed than yesterday

Its lovely and sunny again here today, although not as hot as yesterday, still lovely. I think we have BIG rain coming tomorrow - I'm hoping it gets it all out of its system so we can dig over the weekend. I don't think Leeds has ever been dry for this long!

Hope all are well - and Flo, I got what you meant

              • Morning Flo and Crew, well I goofed off for a couple of hours to the allotment yesterday and watered everything because we have had very little in the way of rain for a month and bummox me if it didn't start last night and is still at it this morning.

Looks like a mixture of DIY and Work today then, and there I was hoping to squeeze another couple of hours on the plot when DD come home from work at 2 this afternoon.

                  • Morning all

I did the same as you Cad and watered everything yesterday. Blow me it has rained hard all last night and is still raining hard! Typical.

Looking forward to trip to garden centre, stuffing my face with a lovely scone and a nice cappuccino. Might be tempted to buy a few more tomato plants if I see anything interesting.

Fridays are my favourite. Have a great day all.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                    • Morning all, well, still sunny here although the rain was forecast for last night, hasn't arrived but as I said before the minute it does it will forget to leave!
Had a long lie this morning thanks to Harry dog. I'm always saying I don't sleep very well. I have one of these fitb@g Orb things so wore it to bed last night. Checked this morning and it tells me that I do see almost every hour in the clock through the night but only for a minute. Longest I was awake was seven minutes and my sleep quality was 97%...so why oh why do I feel so rotten in the morning? Who knows? Anyhoo, enjoy your day and Marie, enjoy your coffee and scone, fancy that myself.

                      • Cloudy and grey here s'morning. Plenty more rain yesterday and overnight. Suppose I could at last start my parsnips and celeriac off in paper pots. Very late, but better small than nothing. Just hope the beds are fully prepared when the parsnips need to go in.

                        Happy Friday, everyone.

We must have had quite a bit of rain overnight and more is forecast for today. Much needed, but can the sun come back out soon please
No gardening today, apart from getting stuff out of the growhouse for a possible rain bath
So it's food shopping for me, Hubby is away from Monday, off to Madrid and Lisbon aircraft spotting. Each to their own eh?
