Morning All - Well it's raining here so ideal weather for me to plod on with the decorating of the Hall Stairs and Landing. last night I got DD to stand on the stairs and using Quick Grab Quick Bond in the horizontal cracks that have formed where the carpet grip rods were installed ion the risers last time they laid carper on the stairs.
The idea being that I pump in the open gap and when the weight is taken off the gap closes and hopefully bonds the risers back together, it's no wonder the stairs creak and moan as you go up them.
I have some 6mm ply cut to size to screw and bond to the risers to try and strengthen them all to install today if I get to it after painting all the wood work and the door frames downstairs.
The allotment, sowing and planting is getting away from me, I still have spuds to get in and mature plants in the greenhouse to get in the ground. But getting the decoration done before Mrs C's stair lift is installed has to come first, then I don't have to worry about leaving her and her getting stuck or falling down the stairs when I'm not there.

Morning all. Ditto with the rain but very humid and lovely and warm in the greenhouse. It was over 10 in there last night so overnight temps finally improving and needing to fleece things less.
Had to do a 2nd sowing yesterday of lettuce and herbs and also beets and radish that had dried out too much in greenhouse. Am leaving the latter outdoors to germinate and the lettuce in the house where the temp is more steady. Lots to learn about greenhouse growing.
Carrots are looking great. Just hope I get some to eat this year as last year they got all mangled in the stony ground. This year they are in a grow table with very fine soil. Fingers crossed. Also hoping that growing higher beats the carrot fly as well.
Have a great day allLOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Morning all - lovely morning here - blue sky, high cloud and sunshine. But more importantly it has rained! The water butt is not full, but the ground has had a good wetting. I did nothing practical yesterday - at a family wedding in Oxford and very lovely it was too. So today, no rambling - much horticulture to be done! I shall probably 'walk' next weekend. Lawns to be mowed, plants to be potted on, planted out, seeds to be sown Enjoy your day.

Good morning all from a lovely sunny Dublin. We have had plenty of rain on Friday night and some last night so the garden is loking good again.
The sweetpeas are flying and one or two, have buds on.
Dahlias are well up and looking healthy, dont think I lost any over the winter.
My Golden Shower rose is a mass of blossom.
Flowers on the potatoes.
My two gooseberry bushes have masses of tiny fruits so fingers crossed I get a good crop this year.
Undercover in the greenhouse the tomatoes and peppers are growing well.
Lots of flowers on the strawberries.
Reading back on this I am almost afraid to post it in case I put a jinx on it.
Have a good day all whatever you are doing.
I am off to mass and then out to get cushions and other cosmetic bits to fit in with my new colour decor..
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
