You make sure you look after your wife, Rary! She can't do much with a broken wrist poor thing.

Hot and dry day. Sown lots of veg in small amounts, some flowers for later in the year and repotted tomatoes. Am well worn out now.

I am happy as I picked (and ate) my first ever carrots and I also see the first tiny little courgettes forming - much further than I got with courgettes last year. Last year they were eaten by slugs not long after planting out. Fingers crossed I get better luck this year.

You are so wrong Marie OH can do a lot especially telling me what to do, there have been some heavy showers this evening, so no work in the garden, not that I would get the chance to do any, but I do think I will need to get some help as there's a furry ball attached to my slippers all the time just now, and when I try to remove it my thumb finishes up in a mouth. Well enjoy the coming week, try a little kindness and pass on a smile. Goodnight

Phew, I couldn't get through earlier. What would I do without my early morning Grape juice?!

Anyway, all good here this morning. Things not going to plan, but other things are being done instead. So could be worse. Quite a chilly night but the sun is up, so any morning dew won't last long.

School day so am up early, eugh! Looks very windy outside and my carrot tops are flopping down.

Morning all, dull and damp this morning. It actually felt a little chilly last night. Where has summer gone? Had a relatively good sleep last night, up around 3am for around 10 mins with the dog but feel tired this morning.Domestics today and a visit to the vet this afternoon so that should be a brilliant day! Not that I'm being in any way sarcastic when I say that.
Not sure if there is something wrong with my tomatoes. One of the plant's leaves have gone brown. Not sure this weather is conducive to gardening, especially when you don't have a greenhouse.
Anyhoo, enough of my rambling, hope you all have a lovely day whatever the weather and whatever you are doing and here is that smile rary keeps telling us to pass on.

Good morning all,no such thing as a diet girls,but an adjustment to one's food and intake hehehehe,come on rary,what is the name and breed ext of the ball of fluff,the bright stuff is doing well so far,not to hot ,sowed more beans yesterday,got courgetts to re do,who knows if we flogging a dead horse,but we are gardeners with the urge to grow things and win,have a lovely day peeps .

Good morning, had my daughter's dog down to meet the pup didn't go too well as Daisy the older dog did a bit of snarling and snapping was hoping I could have kept her down here with Poppy the Shih Tzu pup but had to take her back home need to get it sorted out for when they go on holiday as I will have the two dogs at the same time, went a walk with the older dog and it felt like a winter's day with the wind and rain , so with high winds I won't be near the greenhouse today, need to go and attend to the washing which will be going into the dryer today, see you after

Afternoon all, just got in from a particularly busy shift at the shop, sitting reading the Vine with a nice cuppa.
It's lovely, reading about everyone's lives. Sometimes I nearly spit my tea out at some of the funny things. That would be you Rary.

Evening all...have you ever had to wrestle a bichon frise who is having to have his ears cleaned by the vet? I tell you I've had my exercise for the next month! Jings you'd think we were trying to chop his ear off not just clean it, I'm absolutely shattered!

Hope you all have had a lovely day and rary, Poppy is just gorgeous. Did you say it was your sons pup? You are so good to your family, hope they appreciate what they have.

NS, wonder I couldn't let my OH read things on the Vine, she would home in on that statement straight away "see, you cause a mess in other folks houses as well"
The wind had died down a bit now, so might escape to the greenhouse after, just now I am watching the boy's until their mum or dad comes home, went to do some ironing earlier, but was told to leave it alone, some how she didn't trust me with an iron, I don't know if it's because I am left handed, and she thinks I am doing it wrong when she sees me, or because of the burnt tea towel, then again it could be the two shirts I ruined when I tried ironing them, well she said they were ruined, I said no one would see the damage if I kept my jacket on now waiting for our granddaughter to come down and do the ironing

Morning all, can you believe it was actually cold last night! It's damp and dull again this morning again, summer has definitely gone.
Ironing is on the cards for me today along with the usual domestics...can you see how excited I am?
