Beginning to think the world is now becoming a sad place to be in! It's not about religion to me anymore, but more about which sad faction can get an upper hand on all else!

I hate to think when I'm gone what my poor kid's n grandkids are gunna have to put up with!

Evening all. Managed to get out with the kids with out getting to wet. Managed to spend my garden voucher. Picked up some cracking asparagus plants and leeks. So hope to get to allotment on sunday to get them sorted.
I am meeting my sister tomorrow and going out and about with her. Got to be up early and on an early train to meet her. The kids don't know about it's going to be quite a surprise for them .
Raining here now and we've had quite a few heavy showers this afternoon.

Chuffed to monkies for you Nanny S, three pounds. Good for you . Had a walk in the woods yesterday (part of old Sherwood), it was lovely but had a strange feel of early autumn to it.

Morning it is starting to feel like autumn some mornings but I've not seen many shinny cobwebs yet though.

I lost THREE pounds, I nearly cried.

Today I shall mostly be preserving veg and sorting out our bedroom...full Spring Clean so it feels really nice for when my OH comes out of hospital.

Can't believe it was only a week ago I was munching my way through a bacon butty on soft , white English bread! Mmmmmmm....

Just picked my FIRST head of sweetcorn. Going to a BBQ later, and that and a mate will be going on the coals
It's one of the volunteers birthday, she's 78 but still tells everyone she's 92. We've clubbed together and bought her a bottle of Grey Goose vodka. Oh and 2 corn cobs and a bunch of flowers

Afternoon all. Have just stepped back in the house after we were out early doors to go and meet up with my sister. First time the kids have been on a train and they were quite worried at why their train seats hadn't got seat belts. all their twittering about train seat and which way the seats were facing made it quite a long train journey.
Nice and sunny here now so hope that it helps dry the ground out so I can go and get my asparagus and flower beds sorted down the allotment tomorrow.

Went shopping today. I don't usually shop on a weekend. I've bought some samphire. This is the first time I've seen it in a supermarket and the first time I came across it and ate it was 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure what to do with it but I'll work it out.

I had trouble holding back on buying some veggies as I haven't been able to have home grown for several years, now everything is ripening at once. I love it!

Good evening all. Out playing pitch and putt as I usually do on a Saturday.
The wind was very strong so it was a challenging game.
I didnt win but won the bonus ball instead. €45. so not too disappointed.
