Morning all. Well a nice and sunny day here so far. Have chanced it and put a load of washing out. My mom and dad are away so thought I'd get on top of the ever growing pile of washing before they get back.
Well a turn of events for Han yesterday. She found all her lost stuff .
Been out this morning and got two more application forms for jobs. Never ending this job hunting but there we go.
Have a good morning everyonesigpic

Golly gosh. I feel like I'm not doing much to live up to my MoMship. I hardly seem to be here. Too much paid drudgery.
Anyway, that's all out the way, so back to the real world. Had two great emails: one to tell me my scythe is on its way and another giving me a quotation for my beehives for next spring. They weren't my first choice of hive supplier, but seeing as the other lot can't even be bothered to tell me how much to pay them, I'll go with these guys. They even phoned me up to discuss requirements and were open to various changes to the specs. Absolutely brilliant.
Plus, tomorrow, I've got more cabbages and calçots to plant out.
All in all, I've got a big grin on my face. So in fine Rary style, I'll pass it on to everyone.
Have a great day.

Good afternoon started off dry but cold and now a wee slever in the wind(a bit of moisture, but not enough to call it a light shower) went, shopping and intimate Wilcos where I bought some 6ins. pots 5 for 25p sadly they only had 6 packs, then took OH for a bite to eat I paid (she gave me the money) while drinking my coffee I saw an artical in a paper where it said the best place for women to be was a place in Scotland, of course women are well treated in Scotland,,,,,, who would feed us if they went there talking of I am now up at my daughter's, and grandson wants Fed.
Snoop I have always ment to ask you what type of location do you stay in in Spain, not your area just its mountainous coastal or whatever as you seem to get it very cold at times, right need to go and feed this boyit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Rary, I live about 200 km south of Barcelona and 40 km or so inland from the Mediterranean. In theory, we should get nice mild weather, but there's a big chain of mountains between us and the sea. So we get inland Spain weather rather than coastal weather. Very hot in summer, very cold in winter, not much rain for most of the year except for spring, autumn and the occasional torrential storm. Plus, the cold is exacerbated because we're in a valley. When I do a late-night walk with the dogs along the valley, I can actually feel where the cold air comes tumbling down.
Maximum temps in summer are in the mid-40s ºC, lowest recorded temp in winter was minus 17 ºC not including wind chill. Not three kilometres from us but higher up, a friend of ours very rarely even sees frost let alone cold like that.
I go by a UK timetable for sowing and planting out, as the summer season is very short. My tom plants are already dying, for example. It's still warm by UK standards in the daytime but we've had a few very chilly nights. I wouldn't expect that till the end of the month, but there you go. By mid-October, we'll be about minus 6 ºC.
I've adapted better than I feared I might.Last edited by Snoop Puss; 12-09-2017, 05:04 PM.

Been a lovely day here, all washing dried and I even went on a nice walk after work. No cardigan required.
All tomatoes are now in waiting to ripen up. Any that didn't make it are being left until we come back from holidays

No matter remember to pass on a smile watching the news today it could be a lot worse. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
