Morning Flo'nall n'all

Tis a tad dark isn't it?

Just as it was getting dark last night we had 3roe deer grazing in the field behind our house!
Wonderful sight.
Sadly the hunting season has begun so I hope these will be spared.

Oh and yesterday afternoon we had a bluetit flying around the lounge!
Poor mite was flying into the windows trying to get out.
I managed to catch him/her and release him into the garden.Poor little thing was panting with it's beak open it was so scared.
Good job Hibou was asleep upstairs!

Morning Flo & Nicos - Yep pitch black here but less than 5% chance of rain so BBC weather channel says, I need to clean the car today she goes in for work tomorrow. Have a good one people.

Morning all. At home doing some jobs at the moment. Could of done with going to the allotment but it will be far to wet due to all the rain we had last night. Can't go tomorrow due to interview and then its going to rain again Thursday and Friday. So much for the Indian summer they said we were going to have.

A dry morning but a bit on the dull side.
Forecast says we will have a dry day with sunshine later.
Going to do a big tidy in the greenhouse today and be ruthless in getting rid of anything nearing the end of production.

Thick fog, but mild with 13 degrees outside and 17 in the greenhouse, no sun so my wee solar light by the door didn't come on last night.

Evening everyone, back off hols now and back to work also
In 8 days, caterpillars have decimated our sprouts Grrr
Nearly had a few casualties in pots, due to not being watered, but I think caught in time phew
We had picked our tomatoes before going away and they are ripening lovely
Beautiful weather today, washing out early and all dried. Still got more to do tomorrow, so good weather again please.

Good afternoon after a nice bright start it turned cloudy about ten this morning, with an occasional slever in the wind, we had to go out this morning but once back got out to the garden where I cleared more bushes out, then covered my first rubble bag raised bed first I put on a light scattering of feeding pellets, then covered the bed with cardboard topped with composted tree shredding, hopefully this will encourage worms into the soil, at the moment I am at my daughter's watching the boy's then later this evening I have a meeting so no garden or greenhouse work tonight. Well have a great food evening try and do a bit of gardening, which, hopefully helps you relax and unwind, see you later

Good luck with the interview tomorrow NVG. had a phone call from children's school at work this afternoon - to cut a long story short had to take eldest to hospital after tripping over in playground and has a fractured radius! Now in plaster, & going back to fracture clinic tomorrow morning.

Eldest coped very well and was very brave especially considering pain levels (only 7). Main cause of upset is no triathlon club or swimming for a few weeks.

Managed to get to sleep after finding comfortable position for cast.

Youngest was very good - comforted eldest in playground and went home with a friend until I could collect.

Have made bread for sandwiches in the morning, now trying to get youngest (who has mild cough and cold) back to sleep. Then need to empty dishwasher and reload, & hope bread had cooled down enough......

Welcome home NS, what did you bring me, and when are you doing the ironing

Next year try steeping garlic for two or three weeks then spray the solution over your cabbage etc. it seems to have worked for me, then it could also be due to the constant rain we get up here

Yes Nicos, I now have jet lag!
Went to bed dog tired at 10 and promptly woke up again at 11. Tried to get back to sleep and now I'm downstairs with a cup of tea and reading the Vine.
Rary, I have brought you back a new wallet as I'd heard the moths had eaten holes in your current one.... Mind you, you might not get it for using that swear word - ironing
