  • Well done NVG - v happy for you. All fine at fracture clinic today - has to go back in a week for an x-ray, and estimated about 4 weeks with the cast on. Eldests friends at school all very concerned and caring. Youngest helping where able to, but now has a 'sympathy' bad arm which needed a plaster.........

Have a good evening all, have sent OH out in the wind and rain as dangerously low on milk - really should get a goat.
    Another happy Nutter...

          • Morning All, I will not say good because its so blinking dark out there I can't see what kind of day it's going to be

Looks Like Go Vauxhall Wimbledon have no record of the repair they did to the door trim on my car before I bought it and it's falling off, after six months. The sales guy has left and my last hope of them repairing their shoddy work is if the small body shop they use has a record of it.

Bearing in mind it's his shoddy work in the first place I'm not hopeful that it's going to be done under warranty. Dispite two RAC reports re a fault that keeps coming up they have to do their own investigations at £69 & then informed £138 to find which CO2 sensor is buggered, but if found not to be under warranty I have to pay the investigation fee, despite it being under an RAC warranty because according to the service department they won't just accept the RAC reports!

I'm glad I waited the month for a curtesy car as they are now saying they may need the car 3 - 4 days.

Is it just me or is the world going mad?

            • Morning everyone. Thanks for the congrats
I'm just car insurance hunting at the moment. Present one wants £50 a month now but I've got a quote for £29.
Got to go to new work place today with various bits of paperwork. That will take an age to sort. Don't think I'll be doing any digging today as we had a load of rain last night.
              Have a good day everyone

                • Morning. I think I need to not touch or do anything as I'm obviously cursed right now.

I made my father a cheesecake yesterday for his 80th birthday and he had an allergic reaction to it. Must have been the nuts in the base even though he's eaten nuts loads of times before with no issue. Felt really guilty for spoiling the rest of his big day.

Then my daughter drew some special bookmarks for a friend who is leaving school and I said I'd laminate them. Well they got well and truly stuck in the laminator even though I've used it loads of times before with no problems. I felt awful for ruining her work. And it looks as though the laminator is broken as hubby is unscrewing it all to get the work out

Going to hide myself away for the rest of the day I think!

Wishing a better day for everyone else.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Had a power cut last night, which is the first for an extremely long time. The candle hunt was interesting to say the least. Went to bed early

Watery sunshine here so perfect for a day over the plots. Will be clearing the beetroot bed ready for a dig and feed and then it will be covered and left fallow for 6 months due to remodeling of the other beds.

                        Have a nice day everybody

                              • I played with seed packets early this morning, it gives on a warm glow inside I was working out what spuds to grow and now I've just been offered some free spud varieties to try so looks like I will be having another 8 x 4 ft bed of spuds somewhere.
