  • Hello everyone, hope you are well. Haven't contributed for a while but have popped in now and then. It's not been a happy time here and my 85 year old mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and we have had several hospital appointments and this week we lost Harry dog. Although he had a good innings (16 years is not too bad) it still hurts and the house is so empty without him. Just wanted to say hello and vent a little, hope you don't mind. Thanks for listening. • So sorry Jay, it is never pleasant to get news like that, I do hope your Mum is all right with that information, remember it is how she feels that is important just now, sore as it is for you, as for loosing Harry dog, very sad, but concentrate on your Mum and be there to help when needed. You and your Mum will be in my prayers God Bless

congratulations VC you beat me to it, that the first thing I thought when I read that post, eight meals a day I cant understand why I am overweight as I just eat one meal a day and I must do 22,000 steps going back and forward to the kitchen to fill my plate

                • Does your one meal start in the morning and finish when you go to bed? Mine does - I'm on the 6th Course now.

                    • Good evening, managed to get out to the garden for a time today, and carried out some work in the flower bed, I started to remove the roots and bulbs of the perennial plants to level of the soil a bit, but now decided to cover the soil with cardboard and all the stuff I have shredded, so that will make it easier for me, and trying to work out how to manage the raised bed with the minimum of work, right need to go supper is ready, better not say that too loud in case NS or VC hears me they might want a share of it Pass on a smile Folks your into the weekend Goodnight

                      • So sorry Jay, hugs. Looked in a cuppla times but been too busy to post. I spent most of yesterday in the local hospital with my youngest son. He had an appointment with the doctor first thing in the morning and was referred to the hospital immediately, do not drive, go straight there. He ignored that and decided to organise his life first. It really worries me. This is the 3rd time in less than 12 months my family and close friends have been involved with the NHS hospital.

I have no problem with the dedication of the staff. They are hardworking and dedicated. but they are seriously underfunded. In all three times we took up beds for far longer than necessary because they didn't have the staff or facilities to deal with the situations.

My son discharged himself and has decided to pay for private care. He is self employed and says he can't afford to sit in hospital for several days until they can find the time to investigate his symptoms.

So lovely weather when I could have been out in the garden I've spent sitting in the hospital.

                            • Morning everyone. My sister is visiting today so its a shopping trip to get Han her late birthday present. She asked my sister for some books so they agreed that next time she came up that my sister would take her book shopping. Will and I have decided to find a spot to sit down and relax as we will be there a long time. Might in fact try and find a gardening section or bee keeping section to have a look in Have a good day everyone
