Goood morning sll. Sunny here. The wind is beginning to pick up a bit.
No rain forecast so a pitch and putt day for me.
Enjoy your Saturday whatever youre doing.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

My friend and i have been promising ourselves a shopping spree. Neither of us are into the latest fashion but sometimes we have to buy stuff so that we don't look as if we've dragged clothes out of the ragbag. Today's the day. I really hate clothes shopping but needs must."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)

Afternoon everyone, hope you are all well. Janie, let me know how you get on, I hate shopping of any variety!
Still waiting to find out if my mum can have her operation. Another visit to hospital yesterday for an ECG and another to meet the specialist on 26th...seems to be taking an age.
Anyhoo off to hockey tonight to hopefully take my mind off things for a bit. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.sigpic

good evening, tried to do a bit of reading but OH has the tv on and even with the hearing aid out the noise from that dancing program is far from entertaining, for those who like that program close your eyes and just listen to the racket that comes from it.
Again not much gardening done today as we went out for lunch and when we returned I spent some time securing the cover I have fitted over the roof I hope we miss the forecasted storm but if not the cover has been secured to the best of my ability, I dont think I have mentioned that I had notified the police about the damage that has been done, which was a waste of time there is no proof any one was on the roof the damage could have been caused by an animal/bird/ wind, I just pray that I dont meet the animal or bird that could cause that damage, wait is there not a poem about one that could cause it The elephant is a pretty bird, it flits from bough to bough, it builds its nest in a rhubarb tree and whistles like a cow. Sorry about being like this but having about £2000 worth of damage done and being told there is no proof gets me a wee bit angry, and honest Im not usually like this , now that I have that off my chest Im away for a cuppa, no matter how you feel pass on a smile it might cheer you up as wellit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Mornin n'alln'all
Did ya miss me?
We had a great time visiting Monet's house and gardens. Can't believe how many flowers are still out there!....clearly a well sheltered garden. Stunningly pretty!
Funnily enough the famous Japanese bridge was a lot smaller than I was expecting.
It was still very busy even out of season and midweek!
Just need to read back and check on what you've all been up to
Cad and GL....yr Mrs share the same burpday as my OH!
...now I need to work out what yo go with about 5kg of semi ripe figs we were given...any suggestions?"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Morning all, a misty start to the day.
I opened the curtains and thought I'd gone half blind!
I have just broached a tiny shopping trip with hubby to get my rings de dipped. I've had them quite a while and the white gold needs a spruce up.
He hadn't even noticed I wasn't wearing them .....
On the way back there could be a visit to Morries, they have yoghurt on offer.
This diet is taking over you know.
Daughter is doing us a nice 'winter' garden tub as a pressie. I must admit, hers look lovely, so I will post a picture of it shortly
Have a great day folks, it may be warm today ....Nannys make memories

Sounds like you are doing really, really well with your diet NS!
'Taking over' is the way to go...it worked for me until I let it slip when visiting the UK a while back...change of routine ...tempted by comfort food I'd not had for months....
I really must get back into that mode!
Really impressed with your dieting...well done, and do keep at it, you'll suddenly ( if not already) feel like you have more energy and, well, just more enthusiastic about everything!
Well done xx"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Good mofning all, we have the sun and the breeze,
Off to mass shortly and will review the day after that.
Have a good Sunday all.
