      • 200g castor sugar 3 eggs 250mls lemon juice 3 lemons zested 100g butter melted. Whisk eggs and sugar, stir in everything else, microwave at one minute intervals until required thickness. Done. This makes two 1lb jars.

        • Mmmmm...nice one!
          Thank you x
Will certainly try that one out!

The one I make uses egg yolks only so I end up with egg whites in the fridge , sat staring at me each time I open the door!
(To my OH's delight , I recently found a recipe for chocolate mousse to use them up)

I've been doing my eco warrior stuff again last night and this morning after finding out about the 138 people that could be working allotment plots but have not been informed they are vacant or been given the chance to look at them.

I'd never heard of that one. Looks lovely. Here's another that's absolutely scrumptious if you fancy something along the same lines but a bit different:

I've made a lot of friends among neighbours in the past by sharing this cake. It's a Two Fat Ladies recipe.

Sunny but some hazy cloud in the sky here at the moment. Am finding it hard to get going in the mornings now the days are so short. The chickens are still on summer hours and are squawking for their breakfast, so I'd better go and deal with them.

See you later, peeps. Have a good one. And good luck to Cadalot.

                        • Afternoon all, damp and miserable here,Bramble i got one of them fandangled things a few years ago, tells your vital sighns,i do not use it as i find it complicated to set up,plus you got to start over again when you replace a battery, you also have to be quick at entering the info it asked for,or it shuts off,is great if you know how to do it,and cope with it,if not send it back.
Sorry but it has to be said,i just took 3 karge loaf tins out the oven, cherry with bits of marzipan,i had some left over from the cake,so experimented, they have to cool off, before a true sample can be had,Cad,from what i glean about our site,it's the same.

                          • Evening All

As promised the rain cleared up and the sun put in an appearance this afternoon.

It was a bit nippy in the wind over the plots, so retired to the greenhouse for a coffee or two.

Tomorrow is due to be a bit wild down here so might be drinking more tomorrow

Well the weather here went from bad to worse.
                                Started with a calm motning.
Afternoon and the wind picked up,and the rain came down.
Its now pretty wet and wild.
Have a nice evening and stay safe all.
