Morning, just about still.

Having a little better morning than I did yesterday!

Pottering about in the kitchen when OH popped her head around the door to say she was nipping on to Daughter for a while, as she open the front door the draught slapped the kitchen door to, didn't think anything about it and carried on pottering.

Came to wanting to go get washed and changed, realised the the slam had actually caused the latch to snap and couldn't get out!........

Phone upstairs on the bedside cabinet so couldn't ring anyone, house keys in the front door so couldn't unlock the french doors to get out that way, glasses in the front room so could hardly see what I was doing.

After messing about with a few kitchen knives and a couple of wooden spoons, managed to eventually escape,.................some two and a half hours later!!!!......

Snow not settled, we are only a mile from the sea, so it doesn't usually stay for long, I bet the hills are covered in it though.

Afternoon all!

Deano, I feel your pain, I had a terrible day yesterday

1. My lovely nephew passed me on his vomiting bug
2. The old velux window was removed, and the new one put in - until they realised the new one was broken. Its now on order and I have a hole in my roof - covered with some rather see-through felt - until next tuesday. Fortunately we have a spare bedroom to sleep in!
3. OH and FIL spent the day re-wiring the house for the TV network - only to find out that fancy new modern plug bits do not fit on 60 year old cables
4. After all the effort for the TV network the Sky box packed in, and with no TV aerial, we now have no TV

(should maybe have been on a different thread )

Anyway -feeling brighter today, it was rather claustrophobic with so many people in the house yesterday so I'm actually pleased (ish) to be back at work. I'm just hoping and praying it doesnt snow - or I'll have snow in my bedroom

Jay the Sun shines on the righteous, and are you telling me that I could be faced with a sore back with just going to bed when I get older, (I know what gives me the sore back just now when in bed) the cloud has now moved in temperature of 1c but don't think we will have snow, thankfully,better get ready to go for the kids shortly, we have four of the today but I have to take the youngest swimming as OH can't drive, so I will miss out on the pleasure of the other three fighting and squabbling ah well someone has to move as out enjoy the remainder of the day hope every one gets home safely and enjoys a relaxing night

Oh and the cause of the sore back when in bed ......is the thought of getting out of it

Don't make me laugh rary. I'm in agony and I have the damn cough back so don't know whether to cross my legs, hold my back or what when I cough! This should be on the rant thread!

Been to price a few gardening "Guvvy" jobs up!

Now need to get my head around who borrowed my gear!

Evening everyone, this thread always makes me smile. If you're ever fed up, Rary is always here with some funny quip isn't he?
Forgot to mention that my volunteer friend who was poorly, passed away on Tuesday. Sad news.
Even sadder was seeing her two children bereft today. Work was a sad place and I went home an hour early.
Takeaway for tea tonight. I failed to get something out from the freezer.
Oh, and it was snowing on my way to work this morning. John John was right lol

Hey! I realise I am no Penellype but if it's white and floating down from the sky even I know what it is

To be fair nothing really happened, it just carried on with the little bity bits. Obviously that's not going to deter Mrs JJ so tonight as we settle down it will be with the blinds wide open, in the hope that at some time during the night whilst we sleep we will be able to see it coming down like a thick white curtain... work out the logic in that
