Had a good day yesterday. Even put in some cauliflowers. Maybe a bit optimistic? Who knows. No frost today, just fog and damp. Might not be doing much gardening today...

That awful tree has gone! I can now have some sunshine in the garden so I'm looking at GH's. I want an 8'X6'. Actually I would like a much bigger one but it might make it difficult to get down the garden.

I was checking the sides of my she shed to see if I can fit some garden/log storage down the side(s) and came across my ladder. My last next door neighbour borrowed it and didn't give it back. I'd assumed he'd waltzed off with it. It has obviously been tipped over the fence and left to lean against it. I can now give my daughter hers back.

It's about time I posted some piccies of my garden to show you and hopefully receive some advice. First I have to retrieve them from my phone. I know how to post them directly from the phone to the site but I actually find the site difficult to use on the phone. Does that make sense?

Oh and I went to a proper GC this morning and managed to get very small fibre pots, good quality heavy duty gardening gloves in my size and capillary matting for my propagators. My closest GC has recently been taken over by Wyevale and is now more of a department store. It does have a restaurant which Rory and his OH would like but b all of anything garden related. The one I've just been to doesn't sell clothes unless garden related such as Wellie boots. It doesn't have a restaurant or cafe either. Unsurprisingly it was remarkably busy. Nearly finished my G&T so back to work.

Good evening, the Vine seems to be quite quiet tonight, are folks getting ready for work, perhaps I shouldn't use that word when its a four letter one, anyway have been again very busy getting this kitchen fitted, and I feel absolutely shattered was lifting and moving two four meter work tops they had to be taken outside they had been stored in the conservatory and they needed to be worked on had the first one out when a neighbour came over to lend a hand and I was told to stand back, and yes I was glad of that as I could feel my legs sore, anyway the have now been cut and fitted there is still some work to do and the young man who is doing the work for me wanted to keep going but I told him to go home, its bad enough my OH getting on to me about keeping him late without his wife starting on me, hopefully it will get finished tomorrow, if not we can wait, we did manage to get the work tops cut and and back in the house before the rain started, and now that its started it will forget to go off, I see Janie is happy to get a pair of heavy duty gloves her size I know how you feel about that Janie I have the same problem, gloves marked extra large and I have difficulty getting them on what size did you get XX large if so where did they come from, it would be good to get some decent sized gloves. Well it's time to close have a good week everyone, those with folks in hospital or ill know that others are thinking of you, and no matter how low you feel try passing on a smile, and see how it brightens your day, for the more mature members of the Vine who think, I am told, that time goes faster, it doesn't it just takes you longer to do what you are doing. Morning everyone, I'm slow getting going today.
No work till this afternoon, so no rush.
Things are now moving fast in the decorating game. Upstairs carpets being fitted tomorrow, lounge carpet and two new sofas ordered yesterday, so that's two weeks and counting ..... Phew
Still no sign of seeds coming out, but my charlottes are chitting nice and slowly.

Still, it's always lovely going out and eating and chatting with friends isn't it?

Rary...you're nearly there...the satisfaction of standing back and grinning at your finished kitchen is almost as good as admiring your garden in Spring

Morning all. No, I'm not late up, I just decided to stop lazing about for the first few hours of the day and get going. This is of course helped by the warmer weather.

Rory, I have very small hands for an adult and have problems finding gardening gloves that don't keep falling off especially heavy duty ones for dealing with thorns, nettles and glass. Having just had a new kitchen installed it's a very "satisfactory" feeling. It also helps with decluttering.

Kettles boiled, anyone for a cuppa. I've got biscuits though I've just seen the photos from Saturdays baby shower so I'm on fruit.

Good evening, it has felt questions technology warm today, but don't know what the temperature was as haven't been in the car to see the temp. still working on the kitchen, OH now wants to put down vinyl flooring, but doesn't want any mess, I just don't know what way a woman's mind works, been married for ..a lot of years, and she still dumfouners me I will need to see if you can get a self levelling filler fill in the tiles, oh and once I do that 'we" paint the hall, and we might as well do the porch also,which reminds me of a joke, there was a young woman trying to raise some money so started to do odd jobs for folks, she went to this big house and asked if they had any odd jobs they needed done, so the man told her to go round the back and go into the garage where she would see some paint tins and use them to paint the porch, and he would pay her £50. so off she went, the man's wife said he was being unfair just paying that for a large porch to be painted, so he agreed to make it £100. when she finished. 3hrs. later she rung the door bell and told him that it was all finished, he was quite surprised how quick she was, but held over £100 the young woman was delighted,band thanked him very much, as she walked away she turned round and said to him, by the way it's not a porch , its a Ferrari.
Well I am of to dream land where I won't be painting a Porsche or a Ferrari, it will be a ....hall . Goodnight
