Good morning, a bit cool and dull at present with a wee slever in the wind I do hope it clears and dries up, and NS it really is unbelievable how much noise children can make when they are sleeping, and how they want to lie across a king size bed, or like their Gran, the space I am taking up. LD I don't have a container big enough for the amount of seaweed I want, enjoy the long weekend Trip, and I should have mentioned NS perhaps it's nothing to do with the length of time the Easter Eggs have been on display, could it be an age thing

Anyway, will be sowing yet more leeks and shallots today after the mass extinction that occurred in my absence. No point sowing spinach as it'll bolt before I get a decent harvest off it. Some of the kalettes keeled over, but in theory I've got a few extra if I can extricate them and pot them on... Not very good at potting on, if I'm honest.
Nice and bright here and I've got the house to myself and the cats and dogs. So should be able to get some things done if I can just stay off the internet!
Have a great day everyone.

Afternoon, home from work and catching up on here with my lunch
Course we missed you Nicos
Rary - you just had to mention that age thing again didn't you - you lot don't know the half of it - or perhaps you do ......
Some things I just laugh at, and some things make me sad.
The Easter thing was quite funny. I'd organised the whole family for Monday dinner, and no one said a word.
Anyway, weather is glorious but got to go shopping for food arghh, and that's the Granddaughters wordsNannys make memories

Was out in the back garden with the youngest grandson, planting some cabbage, onions and potatoes , but it was a bit cold for him to stay out, now have him back home waiting for his dad who stops early on a Friday. NS you are right I don't know the half of it, or maybe I did and have now forgot
We're you away somewhere Nicos?it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

The weather is lovely. I went shopping as soon as they were open this morning. Bought a clematis. Today is my socialising day so was at the pub. Early as it happens as my daughter gave me a load of baby stuff for my friend.
After my friend had left I decided to go look for another one and had a drink there. I overheard a very nasty conversation from a group of young people who proposed to beat up another customer because they'd heard he was a peadophile. This other customer is in his sixties and is a gentle soul. He picked me up several times when i was very drunk just after my partner died. I waited until he was leaving and left with him. I really hope he's ok."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)

Mrs C Update
Well they told her she could come home at 11:00 at 5:00 I was allowed to take her home but had to go back and hour and a half later to get her paperwork and her medicine, and we have to go back in on Monday for blood tests and wait a couple of hours for the results, a chest xray in four weeks time and a course of antibiotics that hopefully will not make her look like a lobster.
Thank you all for your thoughts as well wishes. The wet room is finally finished and the longer shower curtains arrived today so its all systems go and she can wash the hospital off her before she goes to bed.
