Am allowed to feel smug
Children successfully asleep, took 40 minutes which is quite good going considering the high excitement levels. Did hear eldest muttering "just go to sleep, I'm tired"!
Am ignoring the fact I still haven't done dishwasher or sandwiches....
Also , first ripe tomato of the year a rather small latah shared between OH and I. Sooooo good, & lots more on the way

Won a Managers Award for 2017 at work.
One of the Directors awarded me this at an open day, along with a speech with a glowing report. I am the oldest staff member in my department and mention was made that even though I was an old fart,I have technical knowledge that no others have and I was willing and able to take on new reposibilities and challenges without wining about it.
As an added bonus was I was given an Intu gift card for £100!
I've had quite a few awards lately and I'm beginning to think the Director fancies me!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Happy to see the pups playground at VCs, nice and tidy, I wonder who does the garden for her?it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

My Morello cherry tree is having a good year and so I decided to make jam. I knew I had a recipe somewhere but couldn't find it so I googled for one. Unbelievable!!!!!! The second hit was this http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ess_85937.html.
I posted it 2 years ago and really can't remember doing it.
Anyway I followed my instructions and now have 8 jars of jam.

Back home now from my visit to the two eye specialists.
Very good news on both counts and for the first time I dont have to go back for 6 months.
