That is fantastic NG.....am I allowed to give tips for improvements for the next one??

Cover the silver board with icing - it will make the whole thing pop! You can cover with buttercream if that's what you prefer to use but a layer of thin icing would be perfect....if they are covered in fondant you can do it in advance.

                    Copper/bronze

I got a couple of cameo Moulds and used pmc to fill them. Once dried I cooked them. I don't have a kiln, however, so I had to use a mini blow torch, a tin of tuna and some charcoal. In hind sight, sweetcorn may have been a better option.

Then aged by fuming with ammonia, burnished and rubbed with bees wax.

Nice. Spending your time with flocking trees.

Can I just check - have you got the grand kids yet or is this in preparation?

Early days yet, still looks like a building site, track is down and I have built two bridges that are supposed to be like the ones we played on and under as kids. Got some locos and wagons that were mine as a kid and some that were my sons(he's 36 in a couple of months), might need to get a bit more up to date I think. I'll post a picture or 2 soon if you're being serious lol

I usually do wire wrap and here is a rather chunky Amber pendant. I had thought about using the amber as a walking stick knob but decided I didn't need the dinosaurs.

That's lovely Jay! I might have a go at that?
I've picked up a new hobby recently. Silversmithing to use the enameling pieces I make I needed some metal working skills. I've done some stone settings. This is my last piece....ivy leaf with a ruby.Click image for larger version

And I'm making a silver chain at the moment with soldered links, practice for soldering that incorporates some enamel pieces. I'll get a pic of that later.

That's nice - is the background reticulated?
