  • Hands wrecked (aesthitically)

an old chum of mine has been gardening and allotmenteerinng for many a long year - he also had a somewhat manual job so his hands ain't all down to gardening - anyhow - having seen how battered his were I took a look at mine. oouch.
I work with computers so have only got RSI from that but my left hand does look a bit battered. I've got a saw mark, couple of knife stab marks a bust fingernail and 'hornery' skin

    Should we share photos?

Mine are soft as a baby's ... and nails are beautifully painted at the moment until the growing season starts, but they need ironing so no photo

Show a picture of my hands I don't think so.

They are rough and starting to wrinkle, with calluses, pieces missing from graters and sharp kitchen knives, burns and broken unloved fingernails.

My wrists aren't that much better.

I haven't got 'Auld mans' hands yet, have a good grip and can still arm wrestle my two Sons. (not together), I am going to be tested soon for vibration white finger from using vibratory power tools all my working life.

Hands are pretty much blemish free.
Although I feel my backside is getting a bit 'saggy'.

I'll post some pics in a bit once I've mastered the art of trying to photograph it in the mirror.

The site is running a bit weird for me at the moment.

No need for the mirror Kevin, you just need to sit on the photo copier.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

My hands are well on the way to being bu@@ered ! I have those odd twinges that indicate the onset of arthritis, bad blood circulation, so they spend a lot of time blue, the occasional exploding blood vessels ( becoming more frequent and which hurt like hell), this leave fingers swollen and blue/ black for a few days. Quite a few scares and showing signs of wrinkles. Apart from that they're fine
