Vine Problem Thread (Constructive comments only please)

After yesterdays antics, I thought it may help the Mods if we had a dedicated thread relating to problems on the Vine rather than comments being fragmented & risk being missed.

My 1st problem is - My Albums are still missing, if anyone sees them please point them in the right direction. Thank You.

I'm wondering if they have transferred info from one server to another and things have got losst en route.
It's just a guess, so if peeps let us know if anything specific has been lost we could try and chase it up on Monday.

I also thought that the techy guys may have copied everything from yesterday & put it onto the new model as a test but instead of copying, they have removed them.

I saw some threads on it's return and looked for them this morning and they have gone, no record of them.

Balders started a thread but checking out his latest post, it's not listed. In fact not a lot with yesterdays date appears to be available and it was back long enough for more than can be found.

Also the Competition Page entry fields are not functioning correctly and have programming code visible in the fields. In addition a pop up asked me if I wanted to download a what to do this month and bearing in mind we are in Jan with a Feb issue there is really no point providing me with the December what to do download is there?.

But it will start to be a problem if today's posts are missing tomorrow, and tomorrow's go missing the day after. We won't know what we're wittering about. I have trouble enough remembering what I need to without having to remember all the vine threads.......

I couldn't log on yesterday presumably because of the update. I'm now going to see if I can get either a picture or an avatar in my profile as I haven't been able to get it to work and, after informing the mods, it should be working now, so you'll see MT in all her glory - not!

I agree...we don't know what happened yesterday - hopefully we will get answers tomorrow.

We were promised by the Gods above that we would be notified before any major upgrade work/forum downtime happened. We were also promised it would not happen on or near a weekend.
So I am of the opinion (fingers crossed) that there was a server outage that had nothing what so ever to do with the impending upgrade.
Computers don't always run as smoothly as we would wish...by some strange coincidence the bike forum that my husband uses also went down for 24hours and they lost all their posts.

I know it's annoying losing posts but I love my photos and i feel pretty heartbroken that they've all gone.
