    You're all clutter amateurs

On my window ledge I have...

1 yoghurt pot of unknown chilli seeds, 1 bottle central heating inhibitor, 1 incandescent light bulb - 100w 1 bag of 3" oval wire nails, 1 bottle gas leak detection spray, 1 yoghurt pot of unknown tomato seeds (knocked over), 1 door entry security chain, 1 packet stanley blades, 1 packet brown rawl plugs, 1 snapped CD, 2 wire brushes, 1 ice cream tub assorted bits, 1 clothes peg ? 1 gutter bracket, 1 junior hacksaw, 1 impact wrench and heads, 1 shackle ? (wire before you get any ideas !), 1 packet stainless steel m6 coach bolts, 1 grape punnet of assorted bits including some dried chilli's and a worktop bolt, 1 coffee jar assorted bits, 1 small pry bar and a packet of extra strong mints which are probably years out of date. And dust... lots and lots of dust.

Why is all that there - because the boxes are still full of things from when I moved here in 2007

I note none of you are de-cluttering your seed tins... or anything even remotely garden related - pots, canes, string etc. And yes I need to do all those things too

Todays decluttering, took bag of paperwork from my den at home,to start fire at lottie, skip came into view at said lottie,so in went the plastics and little glass,a bin full of lottie shed bits on the fire, and raked the dead thatch, former weeds, lying on top of a bed into a heap to finish rotting down.

Vixs,my seed box got sorted a few months ago,

Sorry, I couldn't do today. My very pregnant friend had a normal clinic appointment on Friday and booked her into an emergency scan for today. Buses from our rural town don't go to hospitals. And I have a meeting tonight that I have to read the paperwork for. Back to work tomorrow. Kitchen floor(still concrete) next. That won't take long and I've just talked to my plumber who is going to take the old, disconnected radiator in the lounge out for me so that I can rearrange the furniture.

This thread and a kick up the behind from my daughter, together with an impending big "O" party in May have got me motivated.

Thanks to everyone's who joined in as you're also giving me a kick up the derriere to do summat Every little helps, whether its every day or not!

Tonight, I'm going to attack the lower level of the crockery cupboard - the one with mixing bowls, jugs, colanders. I should find some surplus stuff in there. Hoping for a Bowl or two for the 5 Bs challenge

De-cluttered the kitchen windowsill today - put the tray of pea seedlings into the new blowaway greenhouse. Windowsill now empty, awaiting last year's pepper plants (in case they want to re-grow like the last lot did) but not enough sun down there for them yet so they are still on the landing windowsill for now.

My de-cluttering method is simple. To de-clutter room A move items to room B. To de-clutter room B move items to room A, Repeat. I hate throwing things away, as I always find a use for them within a week.

I can't stand clutter it gets in the way of finding the things I really need.

And if there are things on my kitchen windowsill, I get right humpy. Clear work surfaces and tidy cupboards and being able to lay my hands on what I am looking for, or the balloon goes up.

Things get cluttery for a week or two and then I go in for a blitz. Always feel better when things are calm.

And as soon as we are feeling better the loft has got to be done!!!

                          • There's only seeds/houseplants (and a candle, lighter, recycling bags, empty crisp packets......) on them though! It could really do with a wipe down mind. I'll get on it!

                            • Nothing on the window ledges in my house as I hate that, but I have an attic where all kind of "might need things" live.

I am perfectly happy for you to have clutter, so long as you don't want me to join in. LOL

Now Mr Bee and I are suffering from a horrid coughing virus that won't go away but when it does, a certain Mr Bee will be sent to tidy his room AKA the garage, and then I can get to declutter the utility room which is housing things that should have a home in the garage.
