You've all gone quiet on the de-clutter front
I took a load of stuff to the charity shop this week - mostly kitchen things. The man looked at it and asked if I'd given up cooking? I said - No but I've given up dusting.
Shall we/I start again tomorrow with the letter R!
R is for rubbish, recycling, rugs, records, reading matter and the contents of the Refridgerator.
I am still doing old tasks on the declutter front . Finally got some stuff to the charity shop after poorly cars and road closures. My big fish tank has gone . Cots and prams finally listed. Downstairs has had a good clean so general tat has gone. Although my desk paperwork could do with going through again
Our bedroom is finally decorated so I had a big de-clutter this weekend. 2 car trips to the tip, 1 to MIL for her school raffle and one to the charity shop - you wouldnt know we'd sorted everything out before we moved house would you
The good news is I can now get to my potting bench, compost, pots and seeds. Now to find some time to sow some!!
Yesterday Dad and Brother took some bits from the garage
Today sold the second stroller. Took 3 carriers to charity shop and bought nothing. Put three carriers of clothes in the textile bank.
Tomorrow I hope to take a bag of books for the bric-a-brac stall.
Thursday I have a skip coming (it is only for hardcore and sanitaryware)
I don't have an issue with clutter, the wife does. Therefore I don't understand why I'm required to solve her issues even if it is my clutter. If she wants to clear my clutter then great, just let me know where it all went so if I need it again within the next 3 years I know where it is.
That's how it should be.
Unfortunately that argument doesn't work in real life and I'll declutter whatever I'm told to do, and I'll moan about doing it whilst at it regardless and it makes no difference.
Haven't had any demands recently so I'm either doing something right or she hasn't found anything worth politely asking me to sort out.
OH took a massive pile of stuff to the tip last weekend, & today I'm taking a big bin bag of clothes to the clothes bin at school, & have started sorting out the bottom two drawers of the filing cabinet - going to need a bigger recycling bin & have a huge shred/burn pile of documents etc from 2010 & earlier
Only just stumbled across this thread but we plenty of clutter in our house with three yound kids, so the last few weekends has seen us doing car boot sales and we have cleared out loads of old junk and also made a few £££ in the process.. each week has been £70/£80 in the pocket for about 4 hours sitting in a field laughing like nutters at the customers lol
one mans junk is definitely another mans treasure! (or Lady's)
I'm on a roll! Bag sitting in my car for a friend containing some boots, a raincoat and a school jumper for her youngest who is 11 months younger than my youngest. She's had her eyes on the boots since my eldest had them so has been waiting 4 years for them!
Is no one still doing this? - not even you VC? you have a responsibility to my local tip since you started this
Helped OH in his garage for a large chunk of today. Created 6 dustbin bags of rubbish for the tip! Have cleared a v large table and floor under it. Now a thing of almost beauty......
