  • My K was clearing out under the Kitchen sinK - and I found the wire bottle brush I've been searching for. This evening, I've sorted out some past-their-sow-by-date flower seeds beginning with K and L which I will scatter tomorrow. Doesn't matter if they don't germinate - it gets them out of my seed box.

Tomorrow (today now) is the 12th and L Day. I'm too tired to think of any L words - logs and leaves aren't the ones I want
Think I'll go to bed instead - Nos da

          • I have a rotation system in my wardrobe, anything I've worn goes back on the right. At the end of the year the clothes on the left get sorted and packed of to the charity shop.

If I don't wear it for a year it gets removed

            • Cor, I couldn't that long Bal.
6 months is my limit, but I do have quite a small set of clothes.
If I buy something new, then something has to go out
              Lovely idea of yours though

              • I prefer to think of my wardrobe as a costume museum, displaying items of all sizes, fashions and lengths. Came in very useful when I was invited to a "60s" party some years ago

Today is the 13th and its M day. Could be Money or Museum pieces, marmalade or mints............

                          • Starting again!

Don't read this if you are a neat and tidy person. Thanks!

I'm a bit worried as I keep reading things about tidying - it must be the dark nights.
I've even bought "Spark Joy" (very reduced price). Its written by a Japanese lady called Marie Kondo and she has a business tidying. She's probably made a mint from telling people how to declutter. I've only read the Intro and I dislike her already!
You're supposed to only keep the things that "Spark Joy". Not really sure about that myself as there's not much that I have that is Joyless - the iron has already gone!
Anyway, the point of this is I'm going to try to be a bit more minimalist in 2018. Having helped my moved-out neighbours dispose of lots of junk, I looked at my own with new eyes. It has to be thinned out.
Does anyone fancy joining me in 2018? Knowing me it will only last for a couple of weeks, then I'll be bored.

                              • I’m in!
Had a pretty good clear out when I moved house 2 years ago, but it is about time to start chipping away at it again.
Might take more than a couple of weeks though, as I don’t want to get rid of my cardboard stash until I have dug out enough carpet to make my new raised beds ;-)
