Clutter!

I seem to be spending more time thinking about what I can throw out starting with an A etc!
So....my variation on a theme is that one letter per week ( at least five of that letter 'sorted')
And- I'll pick one small area of the house to concentrate on each week too

so far...
1)Old Aluminium trays etc into recycling
2) Address labels of various sizes all stored in the same place ( this will lead on to the desk drawers being 'sorted' later this week)

I've sorted the bottom of the Airing cupboard.
Thrown
an old bath sponge,
2 face cloths (to be use for cleaning bathroom before chucking)
a pair of Abrasive knitted Gloves ,
a plastic box of honey and beeswax (don't ask),
an Aerosol can of Aloe Vera foam (not quite thrown as I'm going to use it to clean the washbasin),
an almost empty bottle of bubble bath (diluted and poured down the loo which is all foamy now!)

Moved all the soap into the bathroom cabinet; folded the bath mats into a neat pile

Ching, ching! That's 50p in my pay packet

I've cleared the top drawer in the desk...and got OH to go through his very, very old office Address Book to see if there are any numbers he wants to keep. ...nope!
Pages now burning away in the fire
( does that count as my 3rd A ?? )

I also found 97 cents in there- so that's deffo going in 'The Pot'

My decluttering is different,today is a do now't day,tomox i shall be up in the attic,doing some more off what i already started,my bike went to a new home totherday,son took some off his stuff,and books now dumped in the bedroom and onsuit,need to be gone through,some will go back in an orderly tidy way,but most on the garden fire yet to be started another time,{old magz of tracor and landrover,free for collection if you want them},have already got rid off lots down the tip,only when i done with the attic,will i move on elswhere,and decorate each room when i done,the thing will be to keep me mojo going,my plan is to give the place a make over as time goes on.

I have done airing cupboard this week VC
2 large bottles of shampoo and conditioner recycled to our Daughter

I'll be doing the same alphabet throughout the year so Attic can wait for spring. There are 3 more shelves in Airing Cupboard to do first.

A couple more A's done today - cleaned up 2 straggly Aloe Vera succulents and decided to chuck one.
Planted 2 Avocado stones that have been sitting on the windowsill for weeks.

My Tomorrow's B is the Bathroom. Spotted some junk in there today. Will sort some Books too.

2hrs in the Bedroom sorting out boxes of stored stuff.
Old creams etc chucked out, some very old gardening clothing (steady on lass!)
Shelves wiped down.
Still loads to do in there, as it's also a bit of a store room...but I did find 16 cents!...yippeee

And ...one more A!( the 4th!)...an Aerosol of hair spray.....when on earth did I ever use that????

Jumping the gun a bit, I'm doing Paper. Amazing how much irrelevant stuff one accumulates.

Free sample sachets of Body Lotion & Foundation (haha)
Old ToothBrush
Nail Brush (why do I need 3?)
A shell stuffed with scented wax that no longer smells! (It can go on a pot in the garden)
A Blue lidded pot for ?not sure what
The top of a Biro

None of this is charity-shoppable so its in the Bin.

Tomorrow is C and I'm doing Coats in Cupboards.
I have coats that haven't been worn for years, may not even fit now. So I'm going to gather all my coats from their various cupboards and choose which to keep.
I'm hoping that there are 5 to chuck.

One grey leather Coat bought in Turkey in the 80s with power dressing shoulders
A pale green Coat that always looks dirty
A Coat/top that's too tight round the bottom
2 no longer waterproof Cagoules

and
A multicoloured Mary Quant Cape Only wore it twice, on a windy day I looked like a parrot trying to fly!

Cushion from the dog's bed replaced by 2 coats
