Has anyone else noticed this site keeps going down?

Has anyone else been having problems with this site going down? It was down for quite some time at the weekend? It's not my computer because it lets me go onto other sites while this one's down and it happens when I'm using my works pc as well!

Yes and it just went down again for a few seconds! Maybe it was someone in charge winding us up after reading the thread!

Not sure whether its the Vine, but I've not been able to log on to the internet since lunchtime. It just keeps crashing. Didn't even get a chance of logging on to the Vine. It seems to be behaving itself now though - ?

At the weekend - Admin did undertake an upgrade to that might have been the problem at then.

Yes, I noticed the weekend thing, thought it was me! Couldn't get on the site at all, nothing would open up.

Me too at the weekend, have been having some general internet problems but at that point I could get on other sites but not this one. Lasted a few hours but not sure when it came back on.

GYO was down all weekend. I don't think this is a general problem - more of an unusual rarity. Given the nature of the internet it seems a miracle to me that anything works at all. Well done to the techy guys for sorting the problem - whatever it was.

Hi,

Just to let you know.

I upgraded the forum perfectly on friday, the culprit wasn't at all to do with this forum but another website hosted on the same server. A maintenance script that we run regularly got caught in a continuous loop and was running so many requests it brought the entire server to a standstill so it needed to be restarted. Unfortunately it meant the Grapevine was brought down with it, everything should be fine now! This is the first time this has happened since running the Grapevine, so it won't be a regular occurrence and everything should run fine from now on.

Please can i ask the question how do we make contact if we can't log on or access the GYO page or the Grapevine .
Has some thing passed me by or is there another way of making contact.

I had problems getting access at the weekend as well, now it appears my courgettes have started to rot.

Are the two connected.
