What do you cook on outside?

I've had my eye on a grill/smoker but I'm wondering what you cook on outside? (Photos would be nice.)

We have a Weber BBQ and it's brill.

The alternative is a firepit with logs and an old grill mesh on top.
I like the flavour of the wood compared to charcoal....
The Webber kettle lid makes for more juicy meat etc.

I still have my Weber from 1979. It has its share of wear and tear but it still does a very good job. Thinking about the one in my picture so I can do some more low-and-slow smoking.

When my first lava rock bbq gave up the ghost i tried normal gsa bbq and charcoal, but it just wasnt the same so i found ( after about a three year gap) the outback online. I love it.
Although i still have the odd charcoal bbq if its just me and the wife, if the family are down which is 90 % of the time in the summer, then the outback and its lava rocks do the biz.

We have the tiniest little BBQ that not only fold up and goes back in its box, but the grill us small enough to just about fit in the dishwasher
There's only 2 of us, any more and the venue is switched

I have a Napoleon gas grill. Had it for years. It is well made and strong and you can get replacement parts for it.

Ah, not authentic and charcoal I hear you say. But I got this because it comes with 2 trays that can be inserted to hold charcoal so it can be used as a charcoal BBQ or a Gas BBQ. One BBQ dual use.

This is brilliant because it gives me flexibility. If It is just the 2 of us and I don't want to wait for the charcoal to light and be ready I use the gas. If we have guests or I have more time I use the charcoal. The gas lights the charcoal quickly and we are ready to rock and roll more quickly.

If I want to do American style BBQ and am in a hurry I use a smoker box or my cold ProQ smoker unit in the Napoleon.

If I am not in a hurry or having a bit of a do I use my Landmann gas smoker and smoke over night very low and slow.

I also use the Landman gas smoker to hot smoke fish, chicken, duck.

This is the next size up from the one I began this thread with. I might have been able to get by 90% of the time with the smaller one but the size of the family is increasing so I went one size up which I know will be too big 100% of the time.

No, I'm not. At around 600 pounds it may be big enough to convert to it.

It took a bit of work but I got it off the pallet and almost onto the floor of my shed. If my break had been about 5 minutes longer I could have gotten it done. The thing is a BEAST!
