I've used these for years, albeit a different brand, they are great.

One other thing that has really really improved download speeds to my smart TV has been setting up a 5Ghz wireless network from my router and connecting the TV to that rather than the standard 2.4ghz.

Speed went from 6mbps to over 25mbps. Warning though, 5Ghz has a much lower range.

Hi mally i have 2 of these cannot remember name but i think i got em from my memory or maplins £20 odd pound about 3 weeks ago they work ok but only only one ethernet slot on top strill drops a bit with it being wi fi

I spent a few hours trying different setups this morning, using different sockets, wi-fi against ethernet & to be honest I was no wiser. Yes certain sockets for whatever reason gave better speeds, wi-fi was on par with ethernet which surprised me. I'm a little disappointed that the receiving adaptor is only sending out half the speed I get direct from the router, I was expecting the readings to be a little closer.

Decision Made!

After a lot of consideration, I've decided I'm not a lover of Powerline. So for £6 for the parts, I'm gonna install a hardwired box in the living room. Parts are ordered, holes pre-drilled from router point in kitchen through to living room. I already have the punch for securing the wires so no need to buy one. Just awaiting delivery of the cable & face plate now & hopefully should have better broadband.
