Apart from the usual, what do you have on your office desk?

Um - well there's a can of fly spray from last summer, two blown fluorescent tubes, an attachment for the pond pump, an opened pack of Bacofoil roasting bags (thanks OH), a roll of sticky mesh fabric (thanks again OH), two crocheted mats, several used gardening labels, a big screw hook and a base for a floor mop.

I completely forgot about the floor area! There lies my OH's rifle shooting box and other associated paraphernalia, a kitchen mincer, a box of unknown contents (also my OH's), and the empty box my dehumidifier came in.

I don't have an office or a desk. Does the kitchen table count?

A jar of pickled beetroot, hand cream, a plastic dragon (Stormfly from the film How to train a drgaon). Propped up behind me is 7 foot lengths of wood that i found in the skip over the road.

My computer desk is the next nearest thing. I have lots of paper, junk mail, odd mags and bits of articles. Photos of my girls waiting to be put in their albums (they have only been up there 2 months). Thermometer for the girls, watercolour pencils, grown up felt tips, sewing tape measure, nail varnish (which I never wear), screwdriver, popper fasteners, Chinese menu, old seed cat., Walter watermelon drinks coaster (from my grapey secret santa ), Norbert my dragon hatchling and other odd bits of junk. On the floor various boxes of seeds.

On my kitchen table I have a blow torch, snips, tweezers,pliers, a file, flux and solder. A pot of green tomato chutney, a packet of jelly babies, my secateurs, phone and my coffee cup.
My "office desk" is a mess ...that's why I've moved over to the kitchen!

My coffee table is my desk. 2 very large boxes of matches, one nearly empty; glasses case; DIY tape measure; hairbrush; V5; notebook; shopping list; several pairs of earrings, I take them off wherever I happen to plonk myself; pens, pencil, stapler; scissors; knife, fork and plate from lunch; 2 books, 1 Terry Pratchett the other a gardening book; Council Tax bill; and, of course, the laptop I'm writing this on.

Mines got my glasses, Kindle fire/paperwhite, iphone/dock, watch, pack of Jakemans, VR headset, stack of Queen CD's. fav gardening books, post it notes, pencil pot, glass of water, seed packets, Torch, penknife.

Then on top of PC tower a Minion, Furby another torch and some chargers, and headphones.

My craftroom desk where my laptop is has too much stuff to list. bit scary really so I ought to tidy it up a bit.

I have two large desks and five large shelves, I won't go into detail but I still have to ..............move stuff to work...........

Go on, I'll bite. My desk could accumulate all sorts of nonsense, but can't be doing with a lot of cr@p which shouldn't be there, so on my desk I have:

• 2 x printers, 1 desktop pc, 2 x screens, 1 x mouse, 1 x keyboard
• a mug coaster (because even though the desk is about 40 years old and varnish well worn, it would not be right to put a hot cup down on it
• a couple of files 'To Do'
• A lump of volcanic rock from Mount Tiede in Tenerife which my accountant brought back for me as that is my holiday destination of choice. It was such a bizarre thing for him to have thought about picking up when they were there, and packing it to bring home to give to me - and surprisingly thoughtful - that it has pride of place.
• Generally, a cat. obvs.

On the floor by my desk I have a 2' pile of files (approx 150 items) 'To Do' - it was too depressing to have them at my left elbow, as well as the likelihood of disastrous landslide when a young cat fancies a go at mountaineering. It was shortly after this pic that I moved the 'To Do' pile
