No, but had I of known at the time this would be the result I'd of made damned sure I killed it.......then resucitated it, then hurt it a little, then toasted it, then......
D'you know, I don't think that I've ever been so interested in someone else's foot?
Some pretty impressive bruising there, too.
Clever things those anti-b's - did you know that the world's tallest man (Robert Walden, from memory) died at the age of 27 (again, from memory) from blood poisoning that started as a blister on his heel.
I think of that every time I buy a noo pair of shoes.
I got stung by one of my 'girls' (bees) t'other week....right on my eyebrow. left the sting in to show Mr HF who was about 30mins driving time away! instant botox tee hee.

That sounds a bit tallist - I'm 6ft 7, Seems these bugs like to pick on tall people!? Pah!
I was tempted to start up a completely seperate blog just for my foot! Tune in later, I might have another update.
Just think, some day, my foot might just get the fame it's always craved!?

Does your elbow have a permanently "surprised" look?
Just got back from seeing the nurse - lovely lady that she is too, and she has said I can go back to work tomorrow if I so wish. Boy do I wish!! I've had enough of sitting around the house - I'm going stir crazy!!
The swelling has almost gone now, and the bruising is starting to fade.
Thanks for all the comments, if I've learned anything from this it's that I should listen to my wife more - she told me to put some anti-histamine cream on the bite and take some tablets. Did I listen, did I eck!
As I posted elsewhere I was out in the garden on Monday I think it was, in my flip flops, mowed the lawn, trimmed back the beech trees along the back of the garden, then started to plant the seedlings I'd grown from the seeds kindly donated to me by Hazel. I'd just about finished when I felt a tickle on the instep of my left foot. Looked down and the exact same kind of bug was chewing on my foot again!! Squished the bladdy thing and was faced with the same "hole" on my foot as last time. Thought, right, I'll finish up here, tidy everything away, then get in the shower, put some antihistamine cream on said bite and take a tablet. Just finished packing everything away and I felt another tickle on my right leg, just above the ankle bone. You guessed it, another chuffin bite!!
LadyWayne and I have just sent a lovely evening at a "restaurant with rooms" (Tuddenham Mill for those interested - although I wouldn't recommend it, overpriced food as far as we were concerned, although the room was lovely). I've been hobbling around all day and now both my feet hurt quite a bit so I'm sat here with the laptop having gone through emails, and I'm relaxing for a couple of days.
Difference is this time both LadyWayne and I are off work this week, so she can keep me company and stop me going stir crazy.
Both feet have large blackish coloured bite marks and lots of redness around each. A little swelling on each foot, but thankfully no quite as painful as last time!
I'm beginning to think that gardening isn't for you Wayne
If you persist in going outside though, Autan spray, cream lotion etc is quite good and we bought something in Milletts when KK went to South Africa that worked well in Dominica (long story - don't ask) called Lifesystems Expedition 50 which, I have just found out, is made in Aldermaston just up from where I grew up - anyway, I digest, it is very good at repelling insects and you don't have to keep on reapplying.
I have also heard that garlic is supposed to be a good insect repellant but don't do what I did and use the odourless stuff Duh
A garden is a lovesome thing, God wot! (Thomas Edward Brown)
