For one reason or another the end of last season was not good for us and we neglected our little home plot.
Last weekend, with much trepidation, we set to sorting it out and in the process harvested about 20kgs of perfect maincrop spuds and some more than acceptable carrots and parsnips. Result! Plus a little harvest of PSB that was lovely.
We also prepped all the beds for this year. When we started it was a chore, when we finished it was a triumph, the mojo was coming back!
Today we were back at it, it took me until mid morning to force myself outside to start seed sowing but come later this afternoon we had done loads and we both feel great.
The mojo is now most definitely back and this evening has been spent with Joy Larkham lol reminding myself of what I should be doing.
It took a bit of an effort to get outside but once there it was fab, isn't the outdoors great for mental health. It's the perfect therapy. I miss being outside, once you tend to stay inside it gets difficult to get out there again. Garden centre tomorrow, just for a mooch, before more seed sowing in the afternoon.
Apologies for the rambling post but if I write down how I'm feeling I can look back at it and reflect.
Hoping that you are all enjoying being outside at this exciting time of year for the growers amongst us.
